Amazing restaurant, top stars. We arrived about 15 mins early for our table and the place was empty. I am pleased because we got to see how the staff greeted all the customers. It was beau. It like they are welcoming you in to their home.
We have the taster menu and it was spectacular. Every dish was delicious. I would fine it hard to pick my favourite. The dishes were well sized for a tasting menu and the cheese board was also spectacular.
I would highly recommend the restaurant. It worth travel for.
We go every year to celebrate Christmas with our friends (and a few times inbetween )most amazing grade 2 listed building ,fine dining at it's best,always a warm welcome and the staff very attentive .the food is first rate and the wines not too bad either,can really recommend but am reluctant in case we can't get in ! We live in Norwich so nice trip thro all the lovely countryside .
The Fox and Goose is a Hidden Gem. The food is sensational and the price is kind to your pocket.
I would recommend this wonderful place to anyone wanting a taste bud party. It's worth every mile you drive to get to it.
The only down side, the head waitress/manager had a real attitude. She openly ranted about a customer not reading the menu correctly in front of other customers and in a public area. And she did speak in a not so very nice fashion to the young male waiter who was working along side her. Either she had an hangover or time of the month. Either one, she should bitch in the kitchen away from customers.
Still this did not ruin my culinary experience at The Fox and Goose.
Last visit was a few years ago, delighted to find it as good as I remembered. The 3 course lunch is superb value, something for everyone. Group of three,we sat out in the sunshine and enjoyed the delicious food, good wine list too.
Amazing food, fantastic service. For sure, the best place without doubt, to eat in the area. High end, fine dining food and great value for money.
Yet another wonderful meal. Have never been disappointed with the Fox & Goose. Staff are friendly & knowledgeable. Wines are always excellent as is the food. Can't fault it at all. Definatly the best fine dinning restaurant for miles.

We celebrated my birthday with lunch at the Fox and Goose, we found a friendly welcome on our arrival and the food absolutely amazing, the staff made sure we had everything we wanted which all ensured memorable visit!
The only thing I am sorry about is that we have not eaten here before.....we only live up the road!

Paul and the staff have outdone themselves! As we are on our own this Xmas we decided to let someone else do the cooking. We chose the Fox and Goose as we have never been disappointed with any of the meals we have had there. We have been more or less regulars since Paul and Sarah took over the restaurant.
My wife normally doesn't care for turkey but decided to see what Paul could do with turkey. Well she was pleasantly surprised and all I can say it was I remember turkey used to taste like before it became a over marketed meat. The accompaniments (the veg, were very nicely done, the stuffing being my favourite part and the Cranberry sauce was excellent. My wife didn't have a starter but I did and while I don't normally have one I hear the crab cakes call my name. What a brilliant dish! We both had Xmas pudding and the custard (obviously made from scratch) was pure delight. The is one meal we won't forget. I need to remember to book early next year. Again, well done to Paul and all the staff.

Delicious pre birthday meal where quality always wins over quantity, but don't be fooled by the delicate little elements on your plate, they are a feast for the eyes and the palate, then they creep up in you & suddenly your tummy is full to overflowing & you wonder how you'll squeeze the homemade chocolates in with your coffee but you know you must!!
Absolutely amazing. Far exceeded all expectations. But it did come very highly recommended. The service is first class and wasn't that expensive considering the quality of the food which was indeed on another level. We shall definitely be coming back.
We live just 2 miles from this excellent establishment. Their consistency is consistent, excellent excellence. Delicious fabulous food. And a picture of our house is hanging in the pub! You can never go wrong here. Well priced always busy so book before you travel. Exceptional Sunday lunch.
Had an amazing meal for my sister in law's birthday. The food and service was top notch. My only criticism. (It's a small one) Unfortunately you can't have the pub menu while upstairs. The other menu was amazing and they also offer a kids menu. The food was fab and staff very attentive.
We chose 'table d'hote' and it was absolutely amazing food, we loved the little extra touches too! Exceptional value and we would highly recommend a visit. Book in advance as there were only 12 covers in the restaurant area.
This is why I love living in East Anglia. This is as typical a local village pub experience you will have around here. A lovely old building in gorgeous surroundings any time of the year, a homely environment inside, warm hospitable service, and lovely feel-good well-cooked beautiful food, washed down by lovely wine. Perfect.
What can I say other than superb. From the moment we arrived, the service and the food was just amazing.
We booked it for our wedding anniversary and the booking form asked if there was a reason for booking, we had the taster menu along with the wine tasting menu alongside.
Every little detail was taken care of to having Happy Anniversary on the top of both our menus. The service was excellent from finishing one course and receiving the next, there was no long wait and they were very happy to serve which made the whole experience truly fantastic.
We will definitely be booking again to try more of what the Fox and Goose offers.

We went for our 27th wedding anniversary and had been told how wonderful the place was. It's not until you go yourself that you realise what a gem this place really is. From the moment you walk in you are made to feel special. Even the menus had Happy anniversary on them. The device was 1st class, and the food was magnificent. We will return.
The food is superb. This must be the best place for food in a 20 mile radius, or more, surely?
Sunday lunch menu was £36 for 3 courses. Free truffles and honeycomb thrown in.
Best mushroom croquettes I've ever had.
Roast dinner was delicious.
Service was attentive, polite, welcoming.

Interesting menu, including the veggie options.

My only recommendation would be to offer mint, cucumber, lime etc for the water. I'm sure if I'd have asked I could have received. I should have.

Visited whilst staying with my Sister and Brother in Law. Amazing. Loved the welcome, atmosphere , our table in the window and the food.....wow, attention to detail certainly first class here. We will return.
Faultless food and service every time we visit and definitely one of our favourite place to eat in Suffolk!

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. I've eaten here on a number of occasions and the food is always delicious, beautifully presented and served by friendly accommodating staff. This place is something a bit special, so defo worth travelling to.
