I am a proper foodie, had a lamb roast the other Sunday, excellent food, excellent service, great atmosphere. Have not had a great meal out like this for years. Just wish this Inn was more local to me, but will definitely be making the journey back to try the rest of the amazing menu. Hats off to the people who run the inn. Oh and it is very dog friendly.

This is by far the best place for a Sunday roast. Been in many times for drinks. Garden is amazing. Very good drink selection. We go out walking every weekend and although the roasts smelt lovely, we needed to walk after so sandwiches for us. This weekend was a wash out so stayed for roast. So glad we did! Can still taste the flavours now from 3hrs ago. Great pub Great food Great staff Perfect Sunday afternoon Thank you ❤️

Beautiful setting with flowers and gardens. I had the mushroom arancini which was so flavoursome and delicious. The burger was great too

My wife and I had an early Thursday evening dinner at this very welcoming and attractive village pub. From start to finish the service was second to none. The staff gave us as much of their time as we needed, helping us to navigate the menu and drinks selection. For my main course I opted for rump steak (huge and succulent) and my wife very much enjoyed her bream. Portion sizes extremely generous. Malva and Double Chocolate brownie completed our meal, which we both agreed was one of the best we have enjoyed in a while. Currently there is an offer of 2 courses for £22 on a Wednesday and Thursday - so a great meal for an extremely competitive and very fair price. Our compliments to the chef and thanks to the front-of-house staff for looking after us so well. Needless to say, we would highly recommend this pub. Give it a go!

This pub now pub cum bistro has changed, possibly with the times. It is in the lovely village of Freshford where I lived as an undergraduate. Then it was a village pub and fondly remembered. Now it is remodelled, more open-plan but still traditional and a good place for a meal with chums. The food is from a simple menu and well prepared. It is a good place to walk from in the beautiful valley by river or canal. Good beers are on tap. I recommend arriving by train from the very local station.

Lovely place with great views from the pub garden and nice indoors too. Didn't try the food but the people that did partake around me looked like they were enjoying it. Great place to go to take advantage of the nice weather.

Ate their last night and was VERY impressed with the food - exceeded my expectations and thoroughly recommend this place. I had the lamb and cheeseboard and my wife had the fish and chips - wonderful. Atmosphere I gave only a 4* because I’d love to visit when the fire’s going. Can’t wait to return. Lovely staff too.

Clean and smart, lovely menu. Just had latte. Glass of water served as default, welcome. Beautiful setting in very pleasant village, south Cotswolds. Surroundings exquisite. Travelled by train, 11 minutes from centre of Bath.

A gorgeous pub located in a beautiful area with amazing walks nearby. Dog friendly both inside and outside. Lots of outside space for use in the summer. The food is excellent and they offer a good range of drinks. If you want to eat here I strongly recommend booking. Sunday's are usually fully booked weeks In advance.

This was a great pub, portions are huge! Very welcoming. Service was great and they had a range of non alcoholic beer and cider. Dog friendly, clean , tidy and spacious. Car parking is a bit tight if it's busy and they do add a service charge automatically.
