What a wonderful oasis to stumble upon. Fantastic food! Great service from all the staff! Would definitely recommend and will definitely be going back again! Coffee was delicious and decor amazing....a must try....
What can I say this is great 1st time in the area and was looking for a place to have Bruch and food is top notch but the coffee is out of this world would highly recommend it even if you are just passing well worth the stop

The Holly Bush is a massive success story - it's the heart of the village and is my favourite place to take friends for a meal or chill out on my own reading the paper with a coffee.
Came here for a birthday and the staff made it incredibly special- they ever sang for us. Beautiful decor and a warm inviting ambiance make this a cut above a pub meal... Would very much recommend.
An amazing pub, that we are very lucky to live near. At total gem. Interiors are like something out of Living Etc, the owners, Sally & David, treat you like it's your second home, and the baked eggs for breakfast are to die for.
Really enjoyed having lunch here today. I've not visited before. Lunch was really tasty with great portion sizes that all tasted fresh. Great looking place and the bonus is that dogs are allowed throughout the pub and garden/terrace. Will definitely be back soon. Thank you

Fab sharing lunch here yesterday.. Garlic and chilli king prawns were sublime, salt and pepper squid perfecto and the baked Camembert heavenly.

What a lovely lunch today , we sat in the sun on the new benches with snugly covers to sit on . We all chose different , one special one burger and one fish dish off the menu all were fab and came in lovely ceramic plates , and nice to see David and Sally there to speak to

Lunch today was absolutely top notch with several very good vegetarian dishes for my wife to choose from. Our cocker spaniel was welcome and very settled and content beneath the table after a walk. We will be back with our teenage sons to try the burgers!

Always a great place for a drink and/or a meal. Comfortable feel and pleasant surroundings - shabby chic is the decor apparently. Friendly and usually young staff but they always seem to be smiling.
Garden at the back and tables out front, and set on an accessible though not busy road.

Very nice location, food is good and lovely staff. Spinach side deserves being promoted to starter; it is more than spectacular if you miss mediterranian taste. We will come back for sure 😊
Delicious food in a really pretty setting. The menu is varied and modern. Loved the naked veggie burger! The fries were great as well. Service was a bit slow but we weren’t in a hurry so all good. Would return for a drink!

Please see below my review from three years ago. I am updating this to reflect my experience as of May 2021.
The atmosphere remains as lovely and cosy as usual and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful to our entire party. The Covid19 precautions are also well thought out and tastefully done, with a couple of large covered areas in the garden. Several of the outdoor seating areas also have electric heaters next to them, which is a welcome and thoughtful touch. However our party was slightly disappointed by the limited menu on offer, we came in the evening so a third of the menu was off limits as it is only served up until 6pm. Most of our party ended up ordering burgers (chicken, veggy or beef) due to limited choice. The food was all very delicious and clearly prepared with quality ingredients , although the portions did feel a little bit small for the price you pay. I am hoping the limited menu is just a reflection of the Covid19 restrictions at the time (no eating inside).
The beer was top notch as always. I look forward to popping in again after a dog walk around Frensham.

2018 - Very good food and an interesting menu. You get to choose a meat and the the base meal - normally a salad to go with it. The other choices on the menu are a choice of burgers and veggie burgers or smaller dishes. This is a very interesting menu, I suspect implemented due to a small kitchen or ease of service. It is very simply yet effective. Very cosy atmosphere inside with lots of seating outside too. There is a wide range of local ales (as well as more well known ones) and a large choice of lager. Very friendly and attentive staff that will do all within their power to make your experience the best it can be.
Beautiful setting, great wine selection and dog friendly. Perfect location after a walk round Frensham pond. A gem of the area! Service always friendly, may be a new regular spot!

Was with a group and stopped for lunch. Food came out promptly and all served at same time. All dishes v.tasty. Staff attentive and v. welcoming. Will definitely return.

I didn't know you could go to The Holly Bush for morning coffee and cake. I went with a group of 12 and sat in the large covered outdoor area, which was very comfortable.
The staff were very polite and helpful.
I had been here for lunch in the past and that was very good as well.
We walked to the Holly Bush from Rowledge. A beautiful walk and delicious lunch! We'll be back. Lovely atmosphere and friendly, but professional staff.
