Our first visit to the captains table and it was an absolute treat. The langoustine salad was perfect large portion of the freshest langoustines, probably the first time I have been stuffed with a salad. Squeezed in a pudding though � and again it didn’t disappoint, the lemon and lime cheesecake fluffy creamy and zingy again just lovely. My 5 year old son had chicken & chips from kids menu good sized portion really fresh with lovely homemade chips. Staff friendly & attentive, lovely welcoming atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back thank you �
First time hame since the place opened and i couldnae wait to go and tak the Mrs so she could finally try a decent Haddock; as in Ireland ah yih get is stinking cod. Safe t say, the place didnae dissappoint. The staff are brilliant, the decor is stunning, the portion sizes are mare than enough and the price is nothing. We had a battered haddock, cajun chicken and a mint aero cheesecake t share and we scoffed the lot. We will definitely be booking in again but next time for an evening meal so we can get the hale menu!! Hats off to you guys for bringing something new and nice to the broch. Super proud o use �

Fabulous lunch!! Fabulous staff!! Fabulous environment!! Perfectly prepared fresh haddock - both breaded and battered - were accompanied by excellent hand cut chips and garden peas! Couldn’t decide on desserts so we tried two. Sticky Toffee Pudding was light and delicious with a great quantity of caramel sauce, cream, and local ice cream. Aero cheesecake brought back memories of a childhood treat - we needed to buy another to take home as a treat for Mum! Restaurant is the best we’ve had in Fraserburgh. Well done Julie, Joe, and family.
The food was excellent, especially the fish and the soup. Recommend trying the specials. We tried the specials for the started and ordered 2 maine for 4 persons, because the portions are pretty filling.
Great atmosphere , the staff are bubbly people - the waiter is great at advising on places to see if you're here for a getaway for sightseeing and places of rich history. Food was of high quality , fresh and delicious. The seating area is laid out perfectly, not cluttered with perfect bits of art on the wall.

Haven't had scollops for over 20 years and this place has made me regret not having more of them! Fantastic and full of flavour bringing you a heartwarming experience beside the sea.
Tried the main creamy Cajun chicken: Great balance of spice and flavour and not too thick on sauce, giving you an option of rice or chips or both! Chicken very tender and blended so well with the peppers and not overpowering, perfectly balanced, rustic and homemade dish.
Black Forrest cheesecake was delicious, really nice and filling. Had a look at the sticky toffee pudding which also looked fantastic. If you have a sweet tooth this place is lovely for desserts.
Their homemade fish cakes provide good value for buck, very filling and their blue cheese sauce very tasty, I'm personally not a fan for cheese and fish together but it was a very good combination, fish cake fans be surprised!
Staff extremely friendly and felt very welcomed, great place to experience wether it's the taste of the sea and to simply have nice fresh feel good food with a fair value on price.
Would definitely come here again with friends and family.
This restaurant deserves 5stars ++ everything is cleaned over chairs, tables, and mats once you leave. Glasses are clean, hot good fresh food, delicous food - starters, main and desserts. We ate a few times whilst in the town and keep going back. All food is sourced from local farmers and butchers, and made on the premises. Nespresso coffees, and a large selection of wines, spirits and soft drinks, are available. The kids menu is fresh made and reasonable prices. The cleanest toilets I have been in ever!! Nothing is too much trouble for this restaurant and staff - they also let out their 3 bed flat 'The Upper Deck', it's a must! Beautiful fresh clean bedding and immaculately clean inside. It can be booked through the captains table or on air bnb, the beds are so comfortable, washing machine, TV, microwave etc, don't take my word for it check it out yourself, but remember they get booked up quick so if your up that way book a table in advance! You won't be disappointed.
Amazing service and great food. Spotless restaurant with genuine friendly staff. We had a great time for a family celebrations.
My fish was cooked perfectly, the chips were amazing and the sticky toffee pudding was honestly the best I've ever had. Light sponge with deliciously sweet sauce and local ice cream.
If there were ten 🌟 I would award all of them. Absolutely wonderful, fun, service. Our two wee dogs loved the pampering and the food was absolutely delicious. We are hoping to book again in two days before we head south.
We have travelled all of this wonderful country of Scotland over the years and the quality of food has never ceased to amaze me. The Captain's Table is right up there! Wonderful!

This is the most amazing restaurant I have ever been to. It is a family run restaurant with amazing food. We stayed and talked for hours. I had fish and my wife had a steak. No one ever gets my wife's steak right, but her steak came out perfect the first time. Everything was cooked to perfection. Everyone that comes in is treated like you are so special. We will be back as it feels we made friends there that day. And, hopefully, they will visit us in Portugal. This is a place that you must visit if ever in the area. You won't regret it.😊
Took my family for an evening meal and had a superb experience. Very friendly waiter service, a very talented chef and terrific food to boot.
The surf and turf was tasty, brilliant batter on the onion rings, lovely crisp chips and a tasty steak all cooked to perfection.
The desert, ab aero mint cheesecake was quirky but worked beautifully and had a nice dollop of vanilla icecream.
The best restaurant I've been to in 2023, if not in Scotland and will surely visit again.
Lovely food and even lovelier people serving it! Started with the langoustine and enjoyed the halibut for our entrees. Everything was fresh as can be and delicious. Josh is a master in the kitchen. Will definitely return if we find ourselves in Fraserburgh again!
