Firstly may I say we throughly enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere was excellent throughout. Alas the service was a little bit poor, partly due to the the waiters and waitresses being swamped with customer's . The Farmer's Arms is within the area one of the better eateries definitely a cut above the rest and the pricing reflects that that status however with that comes the need for a excellent dining experience.

Uneven evening though great food and nice settings, good for kids. First, the food, all ordered from the tapas style 'small plates' section was fantastic - really good. Nice if unspectacular deserts. The staff were pleasant but our food and drinks took a long time to arrive. Usually this is not an issue, but it really stood out, dessert came a full 45 mins after ordering it. The menu seems a little confused, a Mediterranean tapas section paired with more traditional burgers & fish & chips mains, but will cover most bases.

First visit to eat since the return of the people who were running The Farmer’s about 18 months ago. We were very sorry when they left and happy to see not only their return but that they have transformed both the interior and the garden area. The result is a warm and welcoming open plan pub and the food is excellent. Staff friendly and helpful and we very much enjoyed the ambience of the background music. We were sat indoors as it was the evening but the garden looks great with an outdoor bar, new seating areas including a covered area with patio heaters. We will be back

Excellent food, though bar staff seemed disengaged from actually serving - more like I was doing them a favour. I guess an older team leader behind the bar might make a bit of a difference. Still, front of house impressions count. Generally I had the feel of too many benches & tables like this once cosy pub had taken advantage of its location and expanded at the cost of conviviality. Huge TV screen and second bar area. Each to their own, but not my style of pub.

This has got to be one of the nicest food pubs I have ever eaten at. I was pleasantly surprised having been here in the past with old owners not coming close to the standard that is presented now. Superb for families with the outside area. Nice and relaxed atmosphere on a Sunday with live music outside. I personally am struggling to find an faults and will definitely be returning very soon.

Went for my birthday, great portions and food looked great. Only downer we’re all the flies - but that can’t be helped with the hot weather and doors open onto patio/deck. Place looks really good - will go back.

First time visit in quite a few years. Despite being very busy with lots of people enjoying the weather, food and service were top notch. I had the king prawn linguini, a particular favourite of mine, this didn't disappoint- absolutely delicious and generous portions too. Staff were very pleasant and attentive so a great experience all round. We'll be back soon.

Took by daughters out for dinner because they love the outdoor play area. I had the classic cheeseburger which was delicious. The kids meals were very good too they didn't leave a mouthful. £40 well spent.

Staff are absolutely lovely in there, really kind, helpful and cheery. Really attentive. My mum had a really nice day thank you. Food was amazing, we could tell it was really good quality and fresh. Huge tiger Prawns, delicious bread and the most yellow egg on my club sandwich. 😘👌
