We had 3 wonderful nights here . The room was really cosy & the breakfasts were to die for - the best eggs benedict I've ever had ! The service was efficient and so friendly we were made to feel like friends rather than guests . Having Elvis in the building was an added bonus & we really can't wait to visit again . Loved every minute of it and can't recommend the Ship Inn highly enough !

Lovely welcome as soon as we walked through the door. Vase of daffodils on each table and on the bar, such a nice touch. Offered daily newsapapers to read whilst we chose from an extensive menu. Only wanting a light lunch we chose the crab sandwich which was heavy on the crab! Quite Unusual! ....... and since we only wanted a light lunch we shared a portion of chunky fries which were cooked to perfection. We have visited this pub (and it is a pub not a gastro pub) for years and this was quite the best food and welcome we have ever had. Authentic pubs are rare these days and so pleased it hasn't been gentrified.

Booked in to The Ship inn, staff greeted us with warm welcomes. We sat in the restaurant this time. Lovely atmosphere. Menu was again so interesting and fresh. Local fish and meat dishes with interesting twists. Kids all happy with their meals. We were left speechless again with ours. A top place for a top meal.

I've just stayed 3 nights at the Ship and will certainly be returning ASAP! You always receive a warm welcome and the staff (including Lily) made it an amazing time. Great beer and food. Nothing was ever too much trouble so this was appreciated. Highly recommend staying at the Ship as you won't regret it.

Great pub in a lovely little fishing town. Food was stunning and nothing was too much bother for the staff. They were super attentive and looked after us well, even during a busy period. Beer was also absolutely fantastic! This is a must visit for sure when in the area!

Loved this place. Staff are so friendly and very accommodating. Being vegan I'm not used to having options for meals and they had several. Would definitely recommend.

We stopped off in The Ship Inn for a morning coffee and we ended up going back later for lunch. We had a fabulous welcome by everyone and the crab sandwich was the best my Mum had ever tasted so a huge thumbs up. We will be back.

We had the most delicious meal last night - Very smooth chicken liver pate followed by gorgeous Pollock wrapped in Pancetta with creamy potatoes. Lovely staff, great music and cute cats sitting in the bar! Even on a gloomy January evening the pub was busy. What could be more perfect?

Just had a Sunday lunch here and it was absolutely amazing! I had the roast beef and my husband had the pork. They both came with a massive home made Yorkshire pudding. It was delicious. Also, even though it was raining, they were happy for us to take our dog in! He was even offered a biscuit. The two girls who served us were lovely. If you ever need an amazing Sunday lunch to make you feel better on a rainy Sunday then I highly recommend here!!

Stayed at the Ship Inn for two nights. All the staff were welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was the best ever with so much choice. We ate here one night as well - the food was first class and I had the mussels which were excellent. Will definitely be back on our next trip to Fowey

Exquisitely Beautiful luxurious, high quality hotel. We drifted into this beautiful delightful place one night, into the charming village-town of Fowey. The hotel from 1570 is beautifully designed, divinely furnished, spottlessly clean, lovely crisp white linen, lavish luxurious living, the couple who run the pub, gave us the most loveliest, friendliest welcome. Would recommend this hotel if you wanted a perfect place for a second honeymoon.

The weather was not great so thought I would take shelter and have a drink. Really friendly staff and a great range of beer and cider which was reasonable priced. Decided on a glass of cider which was lovely and chilled. Atmosphere is great in this old and well positioned pub in the middle of Fowey. Did not eat but the food being served on adjacent tables looked great and plates were all left clean so take it that it tasted as good as it looked. I would recommend this pub.

Have been coming to The Ship for years, and latterly for their excellent fish pie. Piping hot, big chunks of fish, and a great sauce. Great pub grub.

A lovely pub with wonderful staff. We had such a fab experience here, the food was incredible! Particular mention to the young lad and girl behind the bar, they run a tight 'Ship' and they run it well, super helpful, attentive and pleasant.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Ship. The team are really friendly, both breakfast and dinner were excellent, it's good value and the beer's great too. Just mind the wonky floors and stairs - all part of the charm though.

Visited Fowey to be honest it had just started raining so we went in for a drink and ended up having lunch as well. Great pub friendly staff and the cibata rolls were amazing.

We had a great couple of nights at this dog friendly pub. Jamie, the owner was fun to be around and all his staff really welcoming. We had a wonderful supper on our last night washed down with great beer. Definitely the busiest pub in the town and easy to understand why. Comfy bed in room 4 with a super bathroom just across the hall. Thanks for a fab stay, we'll be back! 5 stars!

Smashing St Austells pub in a lovely riverside town/harbour. Great range of ciders/beers. Really "cosy" inside. Very enjoyable Sunday roast (beef). Staff could be a tad friendlier, though very efficient. Please sort out the loos, not very pleasant and sink was leaking (badly). Wouldn't put me going there again though.
