Macari's Fish And Chip Shop - Fort William - Photo album

Exactly what I needed after climbing Ben Nevis: Best fish and chips I've ever had! Brilliant portions, well priced and quickly served with a smile! Definitely recommend.
Always eat out of here, the blackpudding is just the best but unfortunately tonight the batter was bit over done. Chips are definitely the tastiest in the fort! Delivered always quick and food still hot. The curry sauce is also the nicest. As a local I find it hard to believe some of the comments on
Beef Dripping chips! These guys know where it's at! Other than that abit expensive but I guess you're in the Highlands. Kind of a small portion pf chips with the fish for the price but tasted great though... good job 👍🏻
I’m still yet to find a place with chips I like, how’re the fish was really good. There isn’t a lot of seating if you’re more than two people so it’s best as a take away. I do like the wooden forks for the chips instead of plastic
On a very busy Good Friday, we got fish and chips and battered sausage and chips. It was all delicious. If you like meaty gravy, then I would definitely recommend! It wasn't cheap but you get what you pay for.
Great service, and a delicious - and generous- portion of haddock and chips. Fresh made while we waited. Oh, and the biggest pickled onion!!
We ordered 2 x half fried pizza super with curry sauce and gravy (pizza dipped in gravy is great). Really decent chippy and doesn't feel super greasy like some. It loses 1 star for the price - could get this back home (in the centre of Edinburgh) for between ÂŁ8.50-ÂŁ10.50. This cost ÂŁ16.
Excellent fish chips and peas, never disappoints. The price is steeper than Ben Nevis though - ÂŁ13.30!
The best fish and chips , and the best ice-cream
Went in today about 5pm for fish and chips after a long day walking. The welcome and service by the lad on the till was friendly and welcoming and the fish and chips were quality. Service with a smile, hope to be back one day.
Traditional Scottish fish and chip menu. Service was quick and worth the visit. Busy place.
We had a delicious fish chips made from fresh haddock. The batter was crispy and haddock light and tasty. Taste and feel wasn't oily at all. Size of portion was gorgeous. We ate one portion outside the shop and it was enough to satisfy two hungry people. Cheers
Good sign of a decent chippy, locals frequent and takes time for the crispiest batter, yum, that fish was just out the water, so flaky, great, chios, happy and polite staff. Not overpriced. Delicious chippy.
Loved it !! The young waitress taking your order is just amazing !! Excellent cod & chips. My friends who got the salmon & chips were amazed : fish beautifully cooked !!
Fancied some chips, cooked fresh and just right not rushed, great service.
