The seared scallops with black pudding are excellent. The grilled rack of ribs is generously-portioned (seemed enough to feed a small
family!) and very tasty, although the meat can get dry. The sauce is perfect though, and the accompanying corn on cob, coleslaw and chips are delicious. Do also get the chocolate tart with vanilla ice-cream to finish off your meal - this one is definitely worth an order.
Service is attentive, but be prepared to wait for your food. Reservations are essential.
Wow, is all we can say. I'd recommend this restaurant! They let us in at the last minute last night (we just walked in), but they never rushed us one moment. The food was to die for. Best food we've had. Definitely be making a return visit before we head home. Complements to the chef and all the team. Thank you!
Fantastic food & staff & those that know me well know that I truly appreciate all that every member of staff do in any business. Sometimes folk don't get the appreciation they deserve. So a big thank you to all the Team tonight at The Stables. Ben, Nicola, Molly & Phillip were all amazing, helpful, friendly, fun staff & Andy is such a woww, amazing chef. Can't forget young George, the real worker in the kitchen who works so hard & Storm, the dog. As always we were last folk out restaurant but totally recommend
Amazing food. Ribeye was cooked perfectly! Pork Belly appetizer was very good. The salmon was amazing too. Desserts: the tablet sundae and cheesecake I highly recommend both. So tasty!!!
3/10/2023 - Tuesday, we went to this Stables restaurant for dinner. This Stables restaurant has won many food award recognition over the years. Their quality of food were secon to none. Staff are lovely, polite, and attentive. Service was very quickly & attentive, well taken care of. Thanks to all the other servers and Suzie for their excellent, warm & friendly service. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wow... this place needs a Michelin star, freshly cooked food amazing. We tried for the first time, black pudding,haggis nachos and venison steak and we were amazed, everything was beautifully cooked. Makesure you book ahead this place is a hidden gem 💎 xx
Absolutely brilliant. Food was so flavoursome. We were a party of 5 so we sampled a large proportion of the menu and it was all very tasty. Staff very friendly. Highly recommend.

We booked in advance, recommend as we had tried the day before and unfortunately it was full.
On arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome and led to our table. The service throughout our meal was of an exceptional high standard and the team checked back with us regularly to ensure we were happy and had all we needed - excellent. Particularly as the restaurant was busy, we felt our, and the other service we observed was personable, attentive and the staff made our evening special.
When our food arrived, wow are you in for a truly wonderful culinary experience. The quality of the ingredients is evident and it was cooked to perfection. The portions and accompanying sauces were plentiful.
In all sincerity our review will not do this place justice as it truly is a dining experience you will not forget and want to replicate.
We will definitely recommend and incorporate another trip to Fort William to return.

Lovely meal on Saturday night and tried a few of the new items on the menu, scallops and Suzie sticky chicken. Both beautiful. My husband had a huge steak cooked to perfection. Great service as always.
4 stars, because we waiting for a starters, onion soup 40 min and another 40 min for main dish. This is to long, place wasn’t busy at all.
Onion soup taste but to much cheese. Steak what we ordered “blue” was perfect.

Best restaurant experience I've ever had. Two very intuitive and attentive waiters, Nicola and Ben. Intuitive in their ways of keeping us content.
For example I asked for a pint of orange cordial which was a little too weak for my taste, which I understand to be a rather petty request. Came up with a great idea to give me a little jug of cordial myself to adjust it to my taste.
Nicola went out of her way to teach me how to eat mussels properly as well, save me getting mucky fingers or making a mess if it. Speaking of, I would 100% recommend the mussels in white wine sauce. Really good portion, a full large bowl of mussels in white wine sauce with a nice good chunk of warm sourdough, all for £7.50.
Scottish steak burger was also to die for.
The food at this restaurant was top notch and I mean it! The best meal we had on our 2 week trip thru beautiful Scotland. My hat is off to the chef or chef's. All four dinner plate meals were amazing. The cheese cake desert was the best we ever had! I recommend you call and book a head for a reservation. Because you have to eat at this place! We traveler from Canada, and had a lot of meals out at different restaurants. If you decide to eat here, trust me you will not be disappointed!
Nice place with a great atmosphere. After a long drive and getting to Fort william late this place looked like just what we needed. The staff were happy to accommodate us at though it was late. Food arrived in good time and was absolutely perfect. Staff were very friendly and helpful even though I'm sure we kept them late. Really appreciate the fantastic service. If I'm ever in the area again I will be making a stop specifically for this place. Thanks again
