Excellent dog friendly place with good food and drinks. Very friendly staff too, would highly recommend 👍🍻
Had booked a table for Garrison West for 6pm on a Saturday....It had been let by 5.55pm.....went to the Crofters bar who made the effort to squeeze us in.....best meal we had in ages it was awesome & great service too
Food delicious and so well.presented but most of all staff were so friendly. Would rate this 5 star plus for customer service, will return when we are next in Fort William .
Food was really good. Service was first class. Prices were really good. But most of all the staff were exceptional. The waiting staff and the bar staff could not have made you feel more welcome. Thoroughly enjoyed our two visits and will hopefully be back for more, a weekend just was'nt enough.
Been a regular visitor for about 37 years and will keep going back , great drinks , food n craic . If I'd saved as much as I spent over the years in the Crofter I would prob own the place
Definitely the best pub in town.
Lovely lunches and meals in the evening. Great friendly atmosphere and deffo the place to go at night with fantastic live music at weekends
Great food staff very friendly. Would not hesitate to go back. Highly recommend it.

What a great meal and friendly staff well worth a visit
What a great place. We were staying in Fort William over the New Year and brought in the bells at the Crofter Bar. The atmosphere was brilliant and we had such a laugh. It was a fabulous night and will be remembered for a long time. Will definitely go back when next in Fort William.
Burgers were great. Staff were friendly. Dog friendly too. Will be back to taste the Ginger and Whiskey Cheesecake
Best pub in town best staff best peppercorn sauce
We visited this place twice in one day. Initially to the bar where the crowd were chatty, warm and friendly.
On their recommendation we decided to return in the evening and have a meal. One of us had sirloin steak and the other a loaded burger.
The restaurant was busy! Both meals were excellent and the staff were organised, attentive and their timing to take your order was on point. However, after giving us our bill they then forgot about us (our table was in a blind spot to the till) and we had to pay as we left.
This was a tiny thing though and we felt they still deserved a tip as up to that point the food and service was first class.
Highly recommended
A vey friendly pub on the pedestrian street in the city center of Ft William. Busy and noisy on a rainy afternoon but hey, it’s a PUB. The food and the service were top shelf. The Turkey Roast was tasty and filling. The scampi were breaded perfectly and accompanied by peas, a salad and chips. The local brews were great.
This is a hidden gem with a vibrant atmosphere and amazing food, the venison burger, haggis and ribeye steak were fantastic and a perfect price, it was a brilliant experience and I would definitely come here again.
Loved it Loved it Loved it ....food was amazing ...best haggis tatties and neeps ive had in scotland and a healthy hearty portion for only 10.99 ...best money ive spent and staff are super friendly and helpful ...if your in fort william you must go !!!💯💖
Tried fish and chips there, which, I have to say was pretty good. As you can see from the photo, portions are big.
There was a queue inside, but since I was alone, they found a table for me. So I recommend to book a table in advance.
Ate quite a few dinners around Fort William but The Crofter was the best (& cheapest). Lovely home cooked style food & very friendly staff. Chicken balmoral, roast pork with all the trimmings, beef rendang & the black pudding & beef pie were all so good. Highly recommended for a good, hearty meal.
The chips are fantastic!! They were both crunchy and have a soft nearly creamy texture inside. Fish and chips was standard, and the lamb roast special was alright. Overall if you want a casual pub meal and have a pint along the way this is your spot.
The best food I have had in scotland by far!
Service was welcoming, warm and attentive.
The steak ale and pie was amazing, hearty and proportioned perfectly.
View at the back was picturesque, with a variety of different people.
Next time I come back will visit again.
100% recommend those who come to fort Williams to give this pub a try and you won't be disappointed.
Also dog friendly for those with dogs.
If you're a hiker in need of a satisfying meal without breaking the bank, look no further than this restaurant! It's a fantastic spot for weary travelers returning from a hike. The prices are reasonable, and the food is tasty. Highly recommended for a post-adventure refuel!
I ordered a sirloin steak and the fish and chips! I preferred the fish and chips! The breading was not too thick and the food was warm. The steak I felt was average. If given a choice I would have tried other Scottish dishes
Pretty decent pub food. Prices are very reasonable. Service is efficient.
Visited The Crofter twice on our stay in Fort William and wisely chose to eat here on both occasions.
First day it was full and we had to leave it 30 minutes before going back for a table which I took as a good sign.
It has that warm welcome pub style about it. The landlady/ manager was friendly and helpful but authoritative when a local used a few swears to greet a friend... she soon quietened him down and he gave her due respect... Nice to see.
The service was friendly and efficient, the menu perfect in size with the addition of specials shown clearly on a nearby board.
The food was fantastic... some of the usual pub classics with variations of local ingredients sprinkled in for good measure. The haggis bites starter were amazing. Had to give the Haggis, neeps and tatties main a try here and glad I did... Great value home cooked wholesome food 😋
The place transforms at weekend nights as a place to be for the younger locals... very lively.
Overall a great venue that manages to give something for everyone, young, old and all those in-between 😄
Highly recommend if ever you find yourself in Fort William.
Had spaghetti carbonara, it was homemade, had bacon, mushrooms, cream, garlic, garlic bread with it! Delicious 😋 I'm definitely going back!!!
Great pub food and a good selection of beers. The staff were friendly and helpfull. No real ale sadly.
Great pub with a very welcoming atmosphere and fantastic staff.
I've got to say that the food isn't anything to write home about but it's absolutely solid pub fayre - certainly no complaints (& kids loved it). Excellent, friendly service (dogs welcome & they got him a bowl of water on arrival) and I'd happily recommend this as a place to visit.
We only had drinks here. They have a great variety of drinks, and also a lot of ciders (including Kopparberg and Old Mout). Friendly staff.
Not going to lie, this place doesn't look like much. Just a typical pub. However, it has a very reasonably priced and delicious menu. We went twice because we were so impressed. It has some of the best puddings we've had in a while and they were huge. I ordered a steak cooked rare and they didn't disappoint. Would definitely come back here.
The staff were also really nice
