We was on a day trip from Edinburgh to Loch ness and back through the cainggorns national park, we stop in the village we decided not to go a cruise on the Loch as wanted to look around and stopped at the fish and chip shop.
Also we went down to the point to see the Loch and took some photos .
I was a little hesitant to go here given the reviews but I'm glad we did! This was the best fish and chips we had during our entire stay in Scotland! Glad we tried this for the first time as we were pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Owner was welcoming and helpful. The place was busy with happy customers and that’s always a good sign. Will definitely be back for a treat. 10/10!
Absolutely delish fish n chips. Cooked to order. The fish was so fresh and crispy. Nothing was a problem to the owner. All served with smile 😊
I had to stop in here for some sausages for my dogs as we forgot to bring the dogfood and the shops were shut by the time we arrived.
The guy couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating.
Other places nearby were not as helpful so we were very grateful.
Would recommend just for this experience.
Awesome food, the chips and the onion rings are amazing. The place is very clean and they cook the food at the moment.
We had one of the best fish and chips ever it's was beautiful the gentleman had time for you and what you wanted. very clean and organise £8.50 for great chip's and fish all freshly made waited 10mins as a ex chippy owner very good food
I can't comment on the rudeness of the owner as others have as we didn't experience this. The fish and chips were good but not the best I've had and pricey too. But it was a pleasant experience sitting outside with them and the order went smoothly.

Had a poke of chips from here after cycling up from Laggan Locks. Standard fair but cooked to order hot and LOTS of them. Could have shared a singe portion comfortably between two adults. Nothing to complain about.
What an improvement since the new owner took over. The food is very good, well cooked and spotlessly clean inside the shop. You cannot please all of the people all of the time, but take it from me you will get the best fish and chips ever, along with the other choices he has. Scrumptious!!!
