Very busy place. Thought we were not going to be served. To our surprise we were seated right away and served right away. Got our order within fifteen minutes including drinks and was just beautiful. What a beautiful place the bothy is. The food was so nice and extremely reasonable for a tourist tra
We visited twice while in Fort Augustus. Everything we tried was wonderful. Their Haggis was outstanding, fish and chips were one of the best, gannon steak was wonderful, sticky toffee was great.
Enjoyed vising during our trip to Fort Augustus. Had a pint with the wife while sitting in their picnic tables right next to the locks leading into Loch Ness. Fun to watch the swinging bridge, as well. We didn't get food, but I love sticky toffee so we'll have to try it next time we're up that way.
Pub atmosphere with friendly people. Tried the haggis and vegetable lasagna. Very tasty. Situated next to a lock and fun to see the boats pass through the canal.
Huge servings..and i mean HUGE .. Fast service, good beer and good pub food. This is good for what it is. I had a great serving of fried fish, chips and salad. Happy i did not choose a starter as well.
Mayby I'm too picky but the place could have been nicer. Food and price are okay and the staff is all right.
Fantastic place to eat. Very busy but the service was fast and meals were amazing :) Prices were very reasonable for the good portions. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. My daughter very much enjoyed her smoked salmon and prawns which was served on a huge shell shaped plate.
We had a great lunch here last week while walking the Great Glen Way. The restaurant has an influx of people when it opens its doors, so I’d advise queuing as it’s about to open, and operates by seating/taking orders in the order in which you arrive. The food and drinks arrived promptly and were del
Great menu, good pricing, prompt polite service, and very tasty + huge portions! Delicious deserts, still based around the same generous helpings too 👍🏻
This place does a great job at feeding bus loads of turists good hot food on a tight time schedule. I could never do it. We did the "Tours bus" tour of Loc Ness including a 1hr boat tour. It was cold raining and we are hungry. So were lots of others. This place is right next to the boat dock an
Stopped off for dinner. Staff were really friendly and made it a pleasure to be there. Food had generous portions and price was reasonable. Steaks seemed quite expensive compared to other items so we avoided those. Meme was limited but has most tastes covered. I was disappointed that the special I c
The fish and chips were outstanding, everything else was just ok. Great service and good selection of beers. The bar area is really cute, in a historic building, but the main dining area where we were seated is a little tired. Nice space, it’s a glass sunroom, just need better furnishings.
Had a fantastic evening in this lovely Old place full of all different people from all over the world all talking about Scotland and the local people who know so much about their beautiful Loch Ness stories told and laughs a plenty a friendly place to stop and experience a great time
Nice place! They serve typical Scottish food. Waiters are friendly and kind.
Really great pub, a decent selection of beers, friendly chatty staff, and best of all, the food. You can eat in the separate restaurant area, or in the pub tables. The menu has plenty of choice, with the steak pie being very popular. I can attest to that! Overall, lovely food, nice people, all in a
