Staying here with my dog, storm, in our campervan. Had a great meal and a few drinks. Management and staff are very attentive and friendly. Most importantly, the place is fully dog friendly.

The new outside area is great with several booths all with heaters and a large canopy / heater area for larger tables. Drinks range has improved too. A great pub to watch the match with plenty of screens. Food looks good but haven’t sampled the new menu yet.
two friends and myself visited this pub today for the first time. I was accompanied by my guide dog and my two companions were also severely visually impaired using white canes for mobility. Always a great welcome, at the Cross House. I have lived in Formby for 2 years now and seen quite a few changes to this place, with a great refit a year or so ago. It's bright, warm and the staff are friendly to me and my dog. A favourite in the area!

Great location … dog friendly throughout.. pint of Guinness is amazing!!! Even get a clover on my pint!! And so are the cask ales … staff are very friendly .. small plates are to die for you would be stupid not to come here
Food was good, enjoyed the peace until a large group came in and it became a bit rowdy.
I had the super grain chicken salad and it was amazing! Great atmosphere and the service at the bar and table were both excellent. Friendly staff and gorgeous food.
Stopped for lunch in the beer garden & had a really tasty meal!
I had hunters chicken & switched the chips for the rosemary sea salt fries which were delicious! Salad really nicely dressed & the tastiest chicken smothered in bbq sauce, bacon & really cheesy.
They even had a dog menu with the option
Food was nice, but they didn't have a few things on the menu that we wanted.
The outdoor space is good, and there is plenty of car parking, and a great range of ale and lager.
Great pub, great location. The staff were very friendly and allowed us to stay the night in our motorhome in the carpark. Had a lovely meal and some drinks. Would definitely recommend
