Came here at the end of our walk. It's a very convenient place for a pint as it is right next to the railway station where we get the train home. I have eaten here a few times on previous occasions and always got the 3 course daytime special they do for under £12 which is excellent value for money.

Had a table reserved for 8 people in an ideal position by the window. Food, drink and service were all excellent. So good that we were there from 1.30 to 4.45!

Bad points. Music a little too loud (but it was a good choice of music). Can’t leave your car outside (although there’s plenty of room).

Was very disappointed today after the reopening, we booked a table for 1pm, my husband and I both ordered roast beef dinner, they had run out of Yorkshire puddings and when it came we asked were was the carrots, reply was oh sorry we've run out of them also.

Popped in after our walk from Blundellsands/Crosby to Formby. WELCOME HAVEN FOR LUNCH & DRINKS (6) LADIES. We all commented on the delicious food and the reasonable prices. 😋 within walking distance for our return journey home. Welcoming accommodating Staff. Definitely return visit planned. WELL ✔
The food was tasty and excellent and the female member of staff was welcoming and happy and definitely recommend the food but the male member of staff serving behind the bar could be more happy when serving customers
Really like the Railway, but...I had booked in advance, a table for 4. 4 older ladies on our Christmas night out. The pub was really busy when we arrived, we were directed to our table, which needed cleaning (cloth and spray on the table), I do appreciate the pub was full, but....
