We relished an exquisite lunch at the Restaurant MS, opting for the tasting menu. Each dish left all three of us in awe with its beautiful flavours and elegant presentation. We loved how bread was served with cleverly designed dipping. The knowledgeable waiting team guided us through the culinary journey, providing insightful details about every dish, while their service remained efficient yet discreet. To top it off, the Chef graciously invited us to visit the immaculately clean kitchen, and the notion of the Chef's Table delighted us. It's safe to say that we're eagerly anticipating our return. It's worth mentioning that the car parking facilities outside the restaurant are excellent.

Really glad to see it reopen. went a few times before the closure and again on reopening night. A few service kinks to iron out but nothing that can’t be addressed with time and would definitely go back. As before an excellent wine and cocktail menu, very good manager and the chef does make an effort to speak to everyone and make you feel appreciated. Food outstanding. Love the new bread accoutrements!!

Amazing experience at the Chefs Table. The food was outstanding and just kept coming. Mark took the time to talk us through each dish and all the team were welcoming and friendly. This was my second visit and i’m already looking forward to the third. A real gem in Folkestone. Thanks Chef and team, it was a fabulous evening.

We were looking forward to coming. Couldn't wait to have the trotters again after so many years. The menu is packed with refreshed, nostalgic dishes from some of the very best years for cooking. The cooking and service did not disappoint. A great evening, very good value, stylish decor and wonderful evening. Thank you.

Excellent ! We went for lunch and weren't disappointed. All the food, every course was nicely presented and thoroughly enjoyed by us all and we'll definitely be returning. We even got to meet Mark himself before we left for our seafront stroll in Folkestone.Parking is nearby. Service was friendly and attentive but unobtrusive.Definitely somewhere for you to put on your 'must try list'.

Dined here last night as my best friend was visiting from Ireland, for a treat and it was excellent. The food was wonderful, cocktails gorgeous but most of all the team working made it for us. Knowledgeable, very approachable and just lovely. Let us look at the chefs table and showed us about. Will definitely be popping in for a cocktail or two at the bar and returning for a meal! Many thanks for a wonderful evening. X

A welcome addition to Folkestone’s food scene. Good cuisine, great hosting and tasteful design. INTERIOR Art Deco aesthetics finished with simple linen curtains and a series of tasteful B&W celebrity photographs. If, like us, you can be wary of basement restaurants, fear not. This place is well insulated, clean and cosy. ATMOSPHERE It’s hard to find a restaurant these days where the chef takes time to greet guests so it really stood out when Mark Sergeant took time to do so despite it being a busy night. The General Manager Luis also elevated the entire experience ensuring we were well looked after. The restaurant started to fill up around 7:30 and was very lively and buzzy. We even witnessed another diner proposing to his lover 💍 FOOD We had the tasting menu which is highly recommended. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The standout dishes were the duck ballotine, the velouté of apple, celeriac and wild mushroom, and the braised beef. Don’t be surprised if you don’t see these exact items on the menu as it is changed regularly with the seasons as you’d expect from a chef of this calibre. The seafood lasagne was probably the item we enjoyed the least. Flavours were spot on but the reimagining of an Italian dish, in a French style restaurant by an English chef felt a bit too far from its origins. Overall I’d say the farm dishes tried to do a bit too much and could be pared back slightly. Overall a great evening and we look forward to visiting again. Congratulations to Mark and the team for making the extra effort and pushing for higher standards. I believe It’s this kind of attitude that will help turn Folkestone into a must visit destination in the UK after over fifty years of neglect.

The food was delicious and front of house excellent service. It is a higher end restaurant and pricey but good for a special occasion.
