Such a great location and atmosphere, felt like I was on proper holidays. Really good food with my highlight being the scallops. But the seafood platter was also so fresh and really big portion. The wine was like 3 sips though so they could be a bit more generous with that. Otherwise Great experience!

We have been here several times now, we go back as the food is wonderful. We have only been on warm, dry, sunny days as sitting outside makes you feel and think you could be in a hot European coastal town. The staff are always happy to help and are knowledgeable about the menu.

Little Rock, set on the old railway station in a shipping container, is a lovely inviting restaurant with great sea views, contemporary decor with a warm atmosphere. The tables well spaced out and you’re made to feel very welcome from the start. We were a little late due to traffic, the waitress assured us it would be no problem and the kitchen would be fine to wait . We had a couple of beers while we looked through the menu, which had a good variety of dishes complemented with daily catch specials. The choices we made were crab with a sour dough and scallops with the cod cheeks, peppery watercress and skin on fries to follow. We did want oysters to share but sadly that had run out. Both starters were great, the crab well prepared and no shell, the scallops well cooked with a nice colour on the outside while remaining succulent. The main courses did not disappoint, often cod cheeks can be over cooked, not these, the chef had got the timing perfect with crispy batter and moist cod flesh inside, the chips and cress complemented perfectly the meal. To finish off a knickerbocker glory and raspberry ice, both delicious. An expresso to finish rounded off a very enjoyable meal with my son and the a great start our trip to the rugby World Cup opening ceremony and game in Paris. The waitress was great, knowing when to talk and we had a good chat about the catering industry. Highly recommend if you want great food and service try this place.

I’ve been recommended this place but my experience has exceeded my expectations. Very subtle but flavourful menu, pairing of ingredients was impeccable (better than some of the Michelin I’ve been too). The staff were very nice and knowledgable of the food they are serving. A gem of a place.

We didn’t have reservation but the waitress is kind to offer us a table. The seafood is lovely. Good food with good service. I think it will be much better to eat outside with the seaview. Overall good experience.

Popped in for lunch and it was delicious. Had the fish and chips on special and it was super fresh and tasty. Others enjoyed their catch of the day. Cocktails and suds courtesy of Cloudwater were also enjoyed. Friendly service and a sunny spring day on the beach topped off the experience.

Enjoyed a fantastic dinner here. Amazing and relaxed venue located next to the beach and connected to the renovated and pedestrianized Folkstone Harbour station platform. Really lovely staff serving great seafood. Would 100% come back.

Fabulous food, service and atmosphere at Little Rock Folkestone today. Great choice of amazingly fresh fish and locally sourced sides. Excellent wine, cocktail and fizz selection too. Topped off with fabulous service from Gar who was extremely knowledgeable about the food and wine on offer as well as the sister restaurants and bars to Little Rock and the Folkestone Harbour area. We had a fabulous evening exploring there after a delicious meal at Little Rock. Will be back.

Very friendly and helpful staff - were happy to make a Mocktail even though it was not on the menu. Food was exceptional - I had thought that the starters were pricey but when they arrived I understood why.. larger than average portions, with amazing presentation and flavours. Lovely views with that holiday vibe.

We were all really looking forward to our lunch at Little Rock. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and a great location. Being a sun day also really helped. The highlight of our meal was the service. All the staff were super friendly and made the trip for us. Unfortunately the food was disappointing. The biggest issue was the food was under seasoned. The fish soup lacked a fishy taste, scallops were over cooked and general lack of flavour in everything. We also had the grilled mackerel and skate and those too lacked flavour. The cod cheeks were good with a really crispy batter. The highlights of the meal were the tartar sauce, which was fantastic, and the cocktails. Maybe the kitchen was having a bad day but such a shame. Everything needed more salt. Hopefully we will try it again and have a better experience. Service was great.
