Best take away chinese in the area, and we have tried most of them. Food is delicious and hot. Very clean and you can watch them cooking. Very friendly girls taking orders and payment.
Have been going to Golden Gate for years. Would never consider anywhere else. Being a veggie, they have a terrific option. The food is always piping hot when I get home and you can SEE that it is cooked fresh. I cannot say enough about this place. Must have had at good 100+ orders over the years - never had a bad experience.

Great menu, great food, generous portions and reasonably priced. The service is excellent and the food is always hot when you collect. There isn't many takeaways that could beat this one.
I have being going to the Golden Gate for 26 years. I have never once had a problem with any of their food. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The food is cooked right in front of you which I not only find fascinating, but also assured me that their cooking environment is spotless, and the chefs are skilled and efficient. I have tried other places within Folkestone, but all of them do not even get close to the lovely and freshly cooked meals you get at the Golden Gate. I would not go anywhere else. Thank you for giving Folkestone such a lovely Chinese takeaway for all these years.
Golden Gate never disappoints, always a quick service and great food. The only slight negative is that they don’t deliver. With that being said I never mind driving to pick up my food because it beats most places hands down.
Chicken Balls with curry sauce always cooked perfectly. Try it out you won’t be disappointed and you will continue to go back there.
The best Chinese restaurant there is. I have been eating takeaway from here since it opened. Always very good food, hot and very clean premises and nice staff. I order most weeks and have never been disappointed. Always willing to make changes to dishes if requested - I like peas in my egg fried rice! You simply can’t go wrong A*, 10/10, 💯 Excellent 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Easily the best Chinese takeaway in Folkestone, isnt the cheapest but definitely worth the little bit extra. Can be very busy so should be aware of that when going at busy times but they definitely try their hardest to serve quickly. May want to order and pick up to avoid waiting in line!
