Kepples remains my guilty secret, the staff and their attention to detail always impresses. Table service and healthy portions are a treat and in the winter the roaring fire and a hot chocolate or two always seems to stave off the cold outside. Definitely worth a look and of course the Hotel which it's based in, which has tours as the building has been around and an attraction for some time.

Many nooks to wile away the time in this beautiful old building. Keppels bar is on the ground floor of the majestic Grand. with pockets of private and semi-private areas that are perfect for your mood, whether you wish to socialise or spend a quiet romantic time with loved ones or friends.

A slightly unusual wine bar. Ground Floor of the Grand Hotel. Quiet with a log fire and sea views. Very good, friendly bar service. Good range of food. Doesn't have a lot of life but it's nice to go for a quiet eat and drink. It's ok with kids and dogs.

Very welcoming and warm place. Exactly what we needed after a day exploring November seaside. Live music was a fabulous bonus. Average food prices, but above-average quality. Really enjoyed our visit, will be coming back soon!

We attended the wedding celebrations of our friends this evening and we had a most enjoyable time. Everything was beautifully presented, the food was delicious and the service was fantastic. The atmosphere was comfortable and we felt at home. The facilities were good.

Keppels is rather special. It is a lounge with sofas and comfortable chairs next to a dining room. In cold weather there is a roaring log fire, and it is dog friendly. There are no pinball or similar machines and the clientele are mostly middle age to elderly. They sometimes have a live pianist playing quietly so it doesn't interfere with conversation. The food is Ok rather than spectacular and service is rather slow, but always very friendly.

Cosy venue in winter and nice outside in the summer. Bar menu ok but nothing special - pint and a sandwich ok though. Venue is lush, as is the location! Restaurant upstairs if you want something more - have only had afternoon tea there but that was good.

Nice place for a drink. In the winter it ca be quiet and cosy when you sit by the fire place. In the summer you can sit outside. Good selection of drinks.
