Visit here whenever I'm in Folkestone. Always a friendly welcome and great beer kept perfectly. Always have a good chat with the locals. Sport good background music. Highly rated.
What a great Motown night.it was such a fantastic atmosphere.lovely pub with great staff.
I had roast lamb, all freshly made lots of veg, great friendly services and then chocolate fudge cake and ice cream , perfect, prices very good. Would greatly recommend.
Popped in the other day for a beer, the chap on the bar was really lovely and told us all about their restaurant too. So hoping we will get in for some food soon. Quiet but we were early. Child friendly too which is good (didn’t bring my kids but other children were in).
Popped in on a Sunday evening (around 9:15pm) and was quieter than I expected. Lovely location, managed to bag an outside table to view the harbour at sunset. Good draft lager, and the barmaid was great and attentive. As I said was quiet so the atmosphere was a bit subdued but been passed here before and it's been much busier and seems a popular spot so will be back. Pay and display parking right outside but spaces limited, but a short walk from the harbour arm with more parking available.

Had a nice beer and a glass of wine for the wife sitting out side looking out to sea lovely barmaid very bubbly and polite 😊 will definitely go back there
Great hotel, stayed one night and was pleasantly surprised. Very clean room and breakfast was quality. Full English with plenty of coffee. Parking wasnt an issue, used Ringo which was to expensive for the location. Would recommend.

Nicely placed overlooking the harbour,the pub was nice and clean, as were the toilets. Great real Ale, the Doombar was the best I have had anywhere.The lady serving at lunchtime was welcoming and friendly. I will certainly visit The Mariner again next time I am in Folkestone.

Great pub, A nice cosy feel to the place.
Lady behind the bar was very friendly and welcoming....Will be a regular there for the next few days that we are in folkstone.
