Absolutely great place for sandwich coffees and breakfast. The portion are large and the quality of the food beyond to none. I also like the fact that the owners are so proud of the region and promote the products from Kent. They serve vegan, vegetarian and gluten free cake. All in all a go to place if you are proud of where you live and you ant to promote the local businesses. Basil’s is a small journey through the culinary pathway of Kent.

We love this friendly little cafe - great breakfast and lunch menu - and delicious cakes. Always welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble . Good veggie options too. Highly recommended☺.

Fabulous! Catering for all tastes and diets - I'm vegan and gluten free and the breakfast was yum, as was the soya latte.... Thanks Michelle and Nigel. We'll be back!

The kale smoothie has the power to revive even the most hungover of souls. She uses frozen ingredients instead of ice so it can be cold and thick at the same time 👌❤️ The lady who works there is lovely.

My wife had been quite a few times and suggested I try it also, I wasn't disappointed. From the warm welcome we received upon entering, to the best coffee I have tasted in a while, and onto the exquisite full English breakfast i had, would definitely have me coming back for more. If you haven't tried basils I suggest you do, you will leave with a smile on your face.

Basil's doesn't have a huge menu but what they do they do very well and there is something for everyone. There is outside seating and dogs are welcome. The place is immaculately clean and the staff are very friendly. I stop there on my way home from the early shift and I can update my paperwork while others work on their laptops. There is free wifi available. The regulars are friendly and they range from young mothers to the elderly and everyone feels at home. I love it!

One of my absolute favourite places for lunch in Cheriton! Michele is so welcoming and very friendly, and the food is always delicious. I would highly recommend the Mozzarella, Pesto and Chicken panini or the Tuna Melt Panini! It is also lovely to see other locally made items for sale here - cheeses, bread and chocolates as well as fresh fruit and vegetables from the local area too. If you're looking for somewhere to go - it's Basil's.
