The best rock I have ever had ! So fresh and delicious. It was the first time my husband had eaten here and he was very impressed by the seafood platter including whitebait and calamari. The dry house white was also very palatable too.
Fabulous restaurant & great selection of food - was impressed at having a choice of grilled fish. We were a party of 7, stopping over at Folkstone on 3 August before heading to France in the morning - Dora was an excellent, friendly and funny waitress - absolutely 5 star service
Really fresh fish, good price, nice staff, spotlessly clean restaurant - this was a good choice for a last meal before going back through the tunnel to France � I thoroughly recommend it and we will go back for sure when next travelling in England �
Go most Fridays, staff so friendly really look after the elderly. I have yet to get there lol. Fish freshly cooked, would not go any where else.

2 of us had lunch here, quite busy for a Thursday, we had a choice of 2 tables. The food that was ordered was served quickly and politely, with a bit of a throw back to school dinners, as we both had spam Fritters and chips, tasted just how we remembered it.
Definitely go back again just for that even though the menu was the usual fare for a fish restaurant.
Absolutely outstanding food! Best fish and chips i tried so far, amazing crispy chips and delicious fish, lovely!
The staff were friendly and helpful, the atmosphere peaceful with some music and radio in the background at a low volume.
You could see some of the usual customers enjoying themselves and catching up with the staff and that was so wholesome to see!

Just out shopping and decided to stop at Papa's for lunch, have been before, the fish and chips are the best in Folkestone, the service is always friendly and helpful and not overpriced. Will definitely go back when in town, very good fish and the chips are Not frozen.
Lovely little place. Service was excellent and we sat outside and ate at a couple of bistro tables they have on the pavement. They have a really good value for money option with a tray of 1, 2 or 3 small fish fillets with chips. I had 2 small fish fillets with chips for £3.30, you can't beat that!

Absolutely delicious fish and chips. The fish was so fresh, as well as well cooked and the crust so crisp, not oily at all! I think it's the best I ever had, this is why ate the whole thing. By the way, medium portion is very filling.
Even though we went around closure, the quality of service was very good.

Always go to Papa's for freshly cooked Rock and Chips. Absolutely delicious, not greasy, batter is crispy and always nice chips. Service is efficient and friendly. A great fish bar.
Definitely in the Top-3 of fish & chips I have ever had. Tried cod and haddock - both were amazing. The chips we couldn’t finish but not because they were not tasty - just the portions were very generous.
Fantastic fish and chips. The fish is incredibly fresh and the batter is perfectly cooked through with no raw bits at all. The staff were really helpful and kind as well. Will deffo revisit this place when I'm next in town.
Really nice food, bit pricey but the portion sizes make up for it, well worth a visit!

Nice to visit a proper sit in fish and chip restaurant. We ordered the haddock and were very happy with the quality and portion size. Good service as well and the restaurant was nicely spread out, we'll be back.
Great place. I've walked past it loads of times. Staff are all genuinely lovely. Food is spot on and pretty good value. This time I had scampi and chips which came with fresh salad. The best scampi I've ever had.
