Food and service outstanding - one of the best restaurants I have visited in a long time. Service was that of a 5 star hotel and the food matched. Every dish cooked to perfection and one of the best cheese soufflés I have eaten and I am comparing this to Raymond blanc's. Would strongly urge to visit and enjoy the fine food and even more welcoming hospitality. Was hoping to do a return visit tonight as so many options on the menu but he has been taken Ill. We will Defo be back and as hotel residents. You will not regret eating here (and the rooms look fabulous )
Upon arrival we were greeted in Reception and taken to the lounge area where our coats were taken and we were asked if we would like pre dinner drinks which we did.. After a short while the menu was brought to us to choose our meal.. The staff were attentive, polite and friendly.. We were shown to our table where we ordered more drinks and didn’t have to wait long for our starters to arrive.. Starters, Mains and Pudding were presented beautifully, tasted delicious and were plenty.. The ambiance of the restaurant was stylish, classy, calm, and the music was just right.. We had a lovely afternoon and I would highly recommend this restaurant..
After having booked into another local hotel that was an absolute tip, just a short drive down the road, right on the channel, we booked the remaining 3 nights in Folkestone at the Wards. Best thing we could have done! A truly homey place with a fantastic staff. The hotel owner, Conan, offers wonderful customer service combined with a great sense of humour. His "right hand man," if you will, Nita, has the best customer service skills in the business, bar none! Their combined experience in the industry shows in the accommodation, the comfort, the food and it's very well represented in the quality of their staff as well, right down to the younger staff members such as Gabby who, along with a beautiful smile, was very attentive to our needs and has a great future in the business.
Having spent many years in the hospitality industry myself, I can highly recommend you stay in complete comfort and/or enjoy a fantastic meal at Wards. You will not be disappointed!
Returned for a 50th and 18th Birthday meal. The food was delicious and everyone in the group was equally happy with their choices. Lovely place and friendly helpful staff. Enjoyed it every bit as much as my own 50th meal back in March.
Great visit. Had a family meal there last night, we were looked after by the lovely staff. Back again today for the carvery, another great meal. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing ! I had my wedding reception here on Saturday and they went above and beyond, the food was amazing and every guest commented on how lovely, and generous the food was. Would 100% recommend to anyone. The bridal suite was gorgeous and we was welcomed by a bottle of champagne,box of chocolates and a card from all the staff which just finished our day off beautifully. So thank you to all the staff at the wards for making our day so so special xx
Fantastic little hotel and restaurant nestled in a lovely road in the West end of Folkestone. If you're looking for a tranquil place for an early evening drink or a delicious, great value meal I would definitely recommend The Wards........
We had the most fantastic lunch here today, the buffet for starters and desserts was a hit for me and my 3 girls. The carvery was delicious, I would of liked the roast potatoes to be slightly more roasted, that may be personal preference, the beef was superb. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Had fish-and-chips on Friday, Great, the portion size did not look very big, but it was more than filling anything more Would have been greedy Anything more would have been greedy. the Staff and owner were both extremely friendly checking on us.

I almost cried out of joy whilst eating my roast! That is how good Wards is. I am so very happy you guys are now open for takeaway and delivery, what a very good initiative from Management. Something that Wards has not offered before is now finally being offered as a new initiative to the community and we are very grateful for that, because we have missed your food during lockdown. I bet Wards also has the best chef/s in town as the roast there never fails to impress. So thank you so much tonight to both management and the chefs. And thank you for sending me the various menus for Christmas etc, they are very impressive and beautiful indeed. We have also tried your fish and lamb burgers and are so very impressed with your takeaway menu. We will order again from you next week. All the best guys.

Tuesday 22nd February we arranged for a "Winter Warmer" lunch for Egerton Over 60s to take place at Earls restaurant at Wards hotel for 40 of our Members. We went there 2 years ago for the same type of event which was thoroughly enjoyed but sadly Covid19 arrived and closed things down for a couple of years. However, we spoke with the new manager Dill to ask if it could be arranged again and he, along with the chef who was there in 2020, produced a brilliant 3 course menu for the occasion. It was more than we could ever have hoped for, it was just like our own little banquet at an excellent affordable price. I have been asked by all 40 Members to say a big thank you and to tell you and especially the chef it was magnificent and we will see you again in December if not before. I can honestly say it is the first time in the 8 years of arranging these events I have not had one complaint of any description, only praise, well done all of you and thank you. Simply lush and delicious! During lockdown, this place has become my favourite restaurant for their taking away service. I would normally go there before the lockdown for their Sunday carvery but they were able to deliver the same outstanding service in November for their roast takeaway and delivery service. Well done to the new owners who have done an amazing job. Keep up guys. See you soon.
Went with sister and a friend on a Tuesday evening. It was surprisingly busy for early in the week. I ordered game terrine starter and corn fed chicken breast main course and also a pint of real ale, all were excellent. The waitress was very attentive and friendly as was the owner who personaly introduced himself to us. Particular liked the fact they served an extra helping of the sauces with each main course. Very impressed and would definitely recommend.

Won't be the first time I have ordered a Roast dinner from Wards Hotel and Earls restaurant during the lockdown. The food is simply delicious and outstanding. I am glad to know the Head Chef, who is known for working his magic in the kitchen, still works here. I cannot thank you guys enough for the lovely food you make for us. I used to be a regular prior to lockdown and had missed the Sunday Roast and quite happy that for December they are delivering the festive menu, due to the restaurant being closed for another two weeks as we go into Tier 3. Thank you for catering for us locals. The restaurant truly deserves a michelin star!
As a large party of 21 and with other large parties going on plus a full restaurant, we found the food and service impeccable. The waiting staff were attentive as if we were the only ones there. Thank you for that. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal with desserts to die for so a big Thank you to the chefs for there hard work too. Was great to see a hands on manager who's charisma was second to none. A very professional team working in a fantastic place. 5 stars truely deserved.
As always staff were very welcoming. The hotel has had yet more improvements since my last visit and will be a nice place to go for what is becoming a very pleasant outside /garden space. Car park is improved and a real bonus as no worrying where to park safely and easily . Keep up the good work.
