We came here as we needed a dog friendly pub as we were traveling with a dog. They were beyond caring and accommodating - even offering an inside space as 'it looked like it may rain'. Food was delicious, service exemplary and a lovely atmosphere. Wouldn't hesitate to visit again

We visited this pub for the first time last week, on Tuesday . The bar staff were very friendly and welcoming. The pub was very busy with Crown Green bowling on. I had my tea there and had the lasagne with a side of chips. The meal was well-presented and very tasty.

The meals were great both quality and price and decent real ale too. Service good too despite some elderly indulged customers moaning about nothing they remained polite and helpful, I certainly wouldn't have been so nice so well done them .
Had a school reunion lunch yesterday and had a brilliant time. There were 6 of us and I was impressed all the meals came out almost together!! Been to some snobby places were you waited for ages! Everyone was happy with their starters and main 👍😁 Never judge a book by its cover!
We had Sunday dinner here. I had the special which was Texas chilli. It was very good. I believe it cost around £10.95. The others pie and the Sunday roast. We all enjoyed our meals
Belting food, friendly service and an exceptionally enjoyable atmosphere. Enjoying a Sunday lunch with a 40 piece brass band in the background can’t really be beaten! Highly recommended

Went in for late lunch/early dinner. Had 8pz Serloin steak. Was cooked to perfection (medium) so flavoursome and juicy! Fries and salad garnish were delicious and washed down with a glass of white! I highly recommend this dish!!!
Fish and chips brilliant. Gorgeous steak pie. Meals cheaper during the week so I can't understand why this place isn't constantly busy. Quaint old fashioned extremely clean pub. Staff lovely. We will be back !
