We've stopped here a few times over the years after a long walk to the lighthouse.
The place is really nice and we really enjoyed sitting in the conservatory section with all the windows.
I got a fruit scone which was really really good. Very fresh with a lovely taste, great texture and it held together well while adding the butter and jam, as well as while eating it.
My wife got the warm apple pie and ice cream which was also very good. Lovely pastry, loads of tasty apple filling and it came with 3 big balls of ice cream!
I also had a latte which was from an all-in-one machine, and it was very sweet.
Service was very nice, and the toilets are clean.
Will definitely be back for scones and cakes, but I will try to remember next time not to order the overly sweet latte.
We popped in for breakfast and would definitely recommend it! πͺβ±οΈπ€©
The menu had plenty to choose from and we felt the full English breakfast at Β£7.95 was really good value.
However we all chose something different from the menu, eggs Benedict, breakfast omelette and poached egg on toast. All the food was brought to our table pretty quickly from when we ordered at the tills, approx. 10 min. It was all absolutely delicious π
A good selection of ice cream π¦ available also!
The toilets π½ inside were clean and tidy, and access was good for all abilities.
You can take your dogs πΆπ into the Cafe. I suffer with allergies and struggle around dogs, but had no effects whilst sat in here, which is testiment to how clean the dining area was.
We'd definitely visit again.
Thanks for hosting our family π

Great restaurant
Very good menu and quick service.
Very polite staff always willing to help.
Overlooks cliffs and with great sea views.
Plenty of parking Β£4.50 all day
Watch the seals and walk down to the beach.
Great little shop next door.
The Headlands Restaurant boasts TWO orangeries so lots of indoor seating. Also some outdoor seating for the warmer weather!
The staff are welcoming and very busy.
We've eaten there previously and not been disappointed. The food is all cooked to order and sourced locally. It's a touch on the pricey side.
I had a ham, cheese and mango chutney sandwich on brown bread. It came with side salad and homemade coleslaw.
But today was a treat day. Coffee and banofee cake! A huge slice of cake, almost too much. ππ
The cafe welcomes well behaved dogs.
It's a highlight of a trip to the headland and the lighthouse.
Lack of space between the tables make wheelchair access tricky.
UPDATE On a recent visit we were lucky to get a table. It was a busy lunchtime during half term holidays.
There was a bit of a wait for the food: not surprising!
My jacket potato with cheese was tasty and the side salad was nice.
I couldn't help but think they could make some improvements to the layout and simplify the menu. That'd make it easier for the staff to be more efficient.
Why is there a seperate bar for drinks? Make it all one counter and put the till at the end.
Good restaurant and bar overlooking the sea at Flamborough Head, right next to the lighthouse. Bit of a queue on a bust sunny lunchtime but that's to be expected as it has a good menu, including gluten free options, and a bar. Seating was available inside and outside although they could do with more parasols. Food was reasonably priced and didn't take too long to arrive.
It was quite busy on the day we went, service was slow but staff very friendly and food of a decent quality, although on the higher end of the price bracket.
Plenty of pay and display car parking around the building and an over flow field. Beautiful local views, steep steps down to a cove, not for people with mobility issues. And plenty of cliff top walks through to different coves. Good place for seal Spotting. We ended up staying u till around 9pm with a picnic so the kids could watch the lighthouse fire up.
First time visiting, plenty of car park spaces, ok for motorbikes. Lovely cafe & restaurant inside & out, great menu, good prices. The views are stunning for this superb location, plenty to explore. Plenty of benches to sit back & relax too. Well worth a visit!

Had Christmas Eve lunch here. It was fully open and busy, but with sensible Covid measures in place. We both had haddock in my case grilled with new potatoes and salad. My partner had it traditional fried in batter with chips and mushy peas. Both were excellent and good value. The staff were their usual helpful friendly self's. Once again a great experience.
Had breakfast here in August it was a good plate full for a reasonable price. Separate breakfast menu with extensive selection.
Popped in for a bit of lunch whilst in the area. I had the home made fish cakes with lemon mayonnaise and my wife had jacket potato with tuna mayo. It was fairly busy at that time so couldn't get right next to the window, but it does have some fantastic views. We did however manage to get a table which had a view out of the patio doors from further inside and on to the sea which was almost as enjoyable. The orangery probably sports the best views though. The food came quickly despite how busy it was, and it's all freshly made. It was delicious, probably the best fish cakes I've ever had! And the mayo was the icing on the cake so to speak. The jacket potato was beautifully cooked and was really tasty too! Really enjoyed ourselves and the food, lovely atmosphere, very well priced and will most certainly be going back again!
What a fab place! Food excellent (I ate every mouthful)! Staff were lovely & the pups were welcome, so met new friends! We would heartily recommend this lovely place!! Thank you to all the staff & owners for a lovely lunch.
The Headlands Restaurant is worth a visit to Flambough Head on it's own. Great menu with fantastic food, staff friendly and helpful. We had Fish Chips and Mushy Peas and it came with ordinary white sliced bread. In my own opinion Fish and Chips should have just ordinary white sliced bread. There is more than ample seating inside and outside. We will be going there again before we leave the area. Returned Thursday 25th August weather not good wind and rain. Food worth the trip nice and warm in the restaurant.

Busy and popular caff at this clifftop location, right opposite the lighthouse and adjacent to car park. Close to the public loo block but has its own (better!) loos inside. Plenty of outdoor seating to the front, with more shaded outdoor seating at the back, but was a bit pongy with smoke there. Mug of tea, milk alternatives available. I just had a brew and a slab of lemon meringue pie. The young lass serving me my cake used a serviette on top of the cake to hold it upright, a procedure I found a bit odd, especially as it resulted in knocking a bite sized chunk off my cake. Hmmm..... Cake was OK, mug of tea with pot of extra hot water was good after cliff walk and tour inside the lighthouse. Menu seemed reasonably priced, except for the plain omelette at Β£9.95!
Really nice friendly young lady serving at the counter, nice food, had the big breakfast and the wife had scrambled eggs on toast, dog friendly too and a lovely view out to sea , would definitely recommend
Loved it. Great food and great location. Will come again
Stopped for a cuppa before a long walk. Lovely place. We'll be back for lunch after the walk
Came in late on so only 1 other couple there and only had a drink. Initially they asked us to drink outside as they were closing but then very kindly said we could sit in the conservatory until the other customer left.
Very nice if them.
