Excellent fish and chips .Good Friday was manic but the lady and gent cooking were fabulous, busy but everything cooked fresh . Travelling from Pocklington was staying at haven site . Came again on the way home was that good .fish lovely and meaty.
A true classic chippy - haddock deep fried in dripping - lightly battered with a delicious crunch as you bite into it. High quality fish - juicy and meaty. Simply the best!!

Ace fish & chips, friendly people. The portions are enormous! It has to be the biggest fish we’ve ever had! Great value for the quality and size. The menu is good, with lots of options for the kids. All cooked to order, too. Top place!
We had wait a little while for the food as the gentleman was on his own cooking and serving and was unusually busy for a Monday night but he explained he would be as quick as he could, but well worth the wait. The best fish that I have had for a long time cooked in beef dripping with a lovely light crisp batter. Lovely!!!!

Incredibly busy, which says it all… ignore the negative reviews this place makes excellent Fish & Chips! Traditional Beef Dripping Batter, fresh food, really high quality fish. Yes, it’s busy, the owners are clearly working hard. Wait in the queue patiently or go else where 🤣 it’s worth it! As the saying goes, good things come to those who wait. Also no need to pick at people who are doing their best. I’m sure you’d get tired feeding hundreds of people! It’s hard, sometimes you just need a moment. Be kind people, working for yourself isn’t easy 😊 trust me, we know 👍

Only let down (slightly) by having a tired un-cool looking exterior when compared with some of its neighbours. Not a problem when the sun is shining and you eat in the park though.

Friendly lady served us. She was working on her own but did a great job. Fish was cooked fresh and tasted lovely, crisp batter and nice chips. Reasonably priced too . Will go again when in the area.
Had the most amazing fish & chips last night the fish was beautiful with light batter cooked to perfection best ive had in a very long time , the staff we're absolutely lovely very friendly and welcoming they even gave us extras for our dogs who couldn't wolf it down quick enough. Would highly recommend will definitely use this chip shop when we're in Flambrough. 🙂
First class fish and chips. Very friendly, prompt service, also even though it was a very busy night they were happy to check out ingredients, I'm allergic to dairy and egg, all was ok for me. Will definately return and recommend to others
