I called in here as I needed internet access for my laptop for a short while whilst working nearby. The lady working (I assume the owner) was very hospitable, so I lost myself on a corner table. The ironic thing is...I wasn't hungry at all but felt I should order more than a drink due to the fact I was using their wifi. So I ordered a Caesar Salad and a pot of tea! OMG the Salad was amazing and so reasonable. I have been back since whilst passing for a quick pot of tea and carrot cake which was equally good! A true gem of a place with very polite staff. Few seats outside the front and I think there is a garden too although I didn't see it!
Found this lovely little cafe a few months ago after an early morning walk around Cissbury ring. Diabetic husband had an unexpected hypo and needed some ‘ proper’ food before being able to drive home. We both had a breakfast sandwich, top quality ingredients which we really enjoyed. Have already returned for another breakfast which was just as good. The cafe was spotless and service very friendly and speedy. Having been in the same type of business some years ago we can understand the challenges which face a small business. We will definitely make this a regular stop after our Cissbury walks!
Great place. So full of character and such friendly staff. I only had time for a quick tea and a brownie, but if I'm ever in the area again I'll definitely go back to sample more! Loved it.
