My family came for a meal on Thursday 14th December. We were a large party, 8 of us with two little ones. Our food was excellent, & we all cleared our plates. The staff were very busy but service was good & a special thanks to the waitress who found a chair for our Grandson's "King Kong" to sit on. Many thanks for a lovely meal.
We had a fantastic meal yesterday, haven't been in for ages, won't wait so long to go again, we had beef ribs, which were melt in the mouth. Lovely friendly staff too.
Received a warm welcome, good varied choice on the menu, service was excellent, thoroughly recommend, but need to book in advance as they do get very busy
My husband and i went there for my birthday last week,.we had a lovely meal,.. the staff were very good,I normally ask for a jug of water! But they beat me to it! And because it was my birthday I could have a free dessert or a drink, which I thought was a nice touch,.. so yes they get a five star from me! And we will be going back x 😊👍🏻
We’ve eaten here a few times before, but this has to be one of the nicest roast I have ever had!! Service was fabulous and also the wine (which always helps) - 5* food - thank you xx
Well done the Angel Inn and Hall & Woodhouse for a great selection of food suitable for vegetarians. As a party of 7 veggies / non meat but eat fish-ians we were all well pleased with our meals. All too often we are faced with little choice and unimaginative dishes such as vegetable lasagna and macaroni cheese.
Amazing food! I ordered the plant burger which was really nice and the fries were so yummy!
Everyone else who ordered loved their food and finished it all! The puddings sounded great but the mains filled us up!
Really big space, we needed a quiet table and were able to book one that was quiet!
Definitely would go again
A nice pub. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Good food. Prices could be better. But as an occasional place to eat it is good. Plenty of parking and easy to book online.
My only small grievance is that whilst the restaurant is big, when visiting recently early one evening with the restaurant very empty I was seated as a table of four at the furthest table in a corner at the back of the restaurant. Then another couple were seated later next to us. It seemed odd why.
Amazing location and food🌟 Staff were so friendly and attentive! We've been a few times, and every time, we've tried something different on the menu, and as usual, it's been wonderful! See you again soon✨️😎
Great meal out.
Mushroom risotto for starter.
Fish and chips for main and a nice jam sponge for dessert.
All washed down eith a pint of ferret.
Stunning.
Excellent. Food has always been amazing!
My friend and I visited for lunch on a Saturday. The inn was about half full, so we had plenty of choice in where to sit. The lunch menu mainly consisted of sandwiches, so we had (between us) a BLT and a fish-finger sandwich. The food was tasty, and reasonably priced, for around £7 for a sandwich and £3 for chips (I had sweet-potato fries). The interior of the inn was also nicely decorated and there was ample parking. However, our experience could have been improved in a few ways: the food was lukewarm when it arrived, which was disappointing but not a big deal. Additionally, there was no table service as we were expected to order by app (we ended up ordering at the bar). However, these minor drawbacks did not take away from the pleasant experience, and we received great service from the staff hence the four star rating. All in all, we would return to this establishment. Thanks very much!
The staff were lovely and the food was great. Had the fish and chips; huge portions but the crispiness of the batter was amazing! Definitely recommend.
Good pub and grub.
The new lunch menu is varied and catered for a vegetarian, a food allergy and a hungry tummy. The sharing starter and nibbles came quickly and the drinks have a good variety or no and low alcohol now.
The main fish pie is big food and lamb well proportioned and tasty. The side or braised lettuce was bit overdone.
Puddings have a decent selection and our bill for 3 courses and drinks £134.
Service is Dorset friendly and just enough. It’s a good pub with clean loos and big car park.liked it and going back.
Stopped in on our way back from Poole. Wonderful food - all cooked fresh. Beautiful pub and huge garden. Plenty of parking and friendly staff. We were only passing through so it was a great find - highly recommend.
Sunday lunch, limited menu but food was good. Roast and hamburger
This was my second visit to the Angel inn, there is a large car park, on entering the inn it has an incredible atmosphere and look around inside. There is plenty of seating for the customer's. The menu has good assortment for the staters, mains and deserts. There is also a specials board you can select from as well. The staff and service are first class. This is a very friendly place for families, in part of the venue dogs are allowed. I highly recommend you visit the Angel Inn and sample what is on offer, you will be well impressed and will want to come back again and again.
Today, 30th May 2019,
I had lunch here, which now is going to become a monthly event.
5 star's is the highest rating available, this place deserves a even higher rating than that.
The layout within the Inn has been changed, and to my delight has made it even more spectacular, increased the amazing atmosphere enormously.
The members of staff working today, Emma, Annabell, Mickey and not forgetting Pawet working on his day off. Made everything about your time there, having your meal and drinks incredible enjoyable. There all worked extremely hard but still had a smile on their faces and a spring in their steps.
I cannot recommend this Inn high enough. Know matter where you are in Dorset ensure you have time to visit the "Angel Inn" in Ferndown. To be honest I would strongly recommend that you make a booking if going for a meal as this Inn will become extremely busy soon.
I have added phots from my last visit, including pictures of Emma, Annabell, Mickey and Pawet....
Enjoy your time here and the excellent food.
Hadn't been here for years and glad to return. Good variety of drinks and varied menu. Food quality good
Sat outside on a lovely Sunday afternoon. No problem getting a table although hadn't booked. Staff were pleasant and food was very good. Lovely service
It was very quiet for a Saturday evening which was surprising. Food was good and so was service. Lovely looking pub inside with a nice garden .
Good choice of beer/ale. Welcoming friendly staff, the food was great. Aesthetically pleasing decor and decent atmosphere. 😃🤌
We had an excellent experience at The Angel Inn. The staff were so friendly and accommodating from the get go- my mums mobility is poor and I had requested a decent table for her to easily access when booking. Multiple staff members offered help and gave routes for her to enter the restaurant along with helping us hold open doors and bring her a more comfortable chair to sit on. It’s means so much to have such kindness. Plus, the food was delicious!! Definitely recommend. Thank you

We had a great lunch at The Angel yesterday celebrating a family birthday. Always happy to go to a H&W venue as the food is reliably good.
On this occasion the staff were particularly helpful, efficient and friendly. One of our party had mobility issues and a super chair was brought to the table for them to ensure comfort for the duration of our stay.
As ever, needless to say, the food was fab! Thank you 😊
Fantastic staff, wonderful food, accommodating for dogs. A great pub with lots of character, we couldn’t of enjoyed both our visits more, will be visiting again very soon thank you so much
