Had a lovely Sunday lunch there with the family. My grandad has mobility issues and the staff were super accommodating with a table that was near the entrance. Great portions and will definitely visit again when it the green around the river isn't as waterlogged from the storm🤣

I have been to The Plough numerous times and usually have a great meal there. This time however I did not. I ate the Fish & Chips and as the picture shows, it was very over cooked, was very dry and not enjoyable to eat. My friend however had the Sea Bass fillets and throughly enjoyed her food. The atmosphere was lovely as it was quite busy and the staff are always attentive, friendly & helpful, just on this occasion my food was not good. I should of complained at the time, but I was with a friend that has just got engaged and I did not want to ruin the atmosphere. I will definitely go back to The Plough as I hope that this is just a hiccup and look forward to eating better food next time.

Fantastic food in a quaint village outside Cambridge. Scenic settings right by the river the staff make you feel very welcome when entering the Plough. Travelling on business I was looking for some good food and the whole menu is well thought out. Would highly recommend when in the area, it deserves the prices it is at.

I went there for a beer so I didn't have any food. The place is amazing and the atmosphere looks cool. I didn't like that the guy from the bar was a bit sad / tired when he was attending us (it looked like he was the one paying for them 😅) ... I do liked that they are doggy welcoming. I would give it another opportunity some day to taste the food.

One of the best steak sandwiches I’ve had ! Soft tender bread that doesn’t cut the mouth and perfectly cook steak with that heavenly sauce, ask for it! Wish I can get the recipe! Fish sandwich is really good too. Wish to come back for a full lunch/dinner as we got the lunch meal. Lovely by the river ambiance.

Fantastic place! The food is exquisite, and the staff is very friendly, helpful, and always smiling. Mr. Igor is the best! He was funny, cheerful, and incredibly helpful. Such an employee is a treasure! In the future, I must definitely take my friends there 😁

A most beautiful venue inside and out with a touch of class, great food and river views. Ordered a share platter of meze food which was delicious with sides. We were well looked after by Stacey and other staff who served us. Booking is reccomended as its a popular place and easy to see why if you want to dine in the restaurant. Thank you for accepting the blue light card and supporting the services. A highly reccomended venue a must visit if in the area.

We went to the Plough with two friends, for dinner to celebrate their 50th birthday. We were welcomed and looked after well. The food was delicious and enjoyed by everyone - with probably the sea bass and pork belly being the stars of the show. Nibbles and puds also very good. The food arrived promptly and the waiting staff were friendly and attentive.

The Plough is one of my favourite places in Cambridge for food and cocktails - outside of town but beautiful riverside location - from its beautiful crackling fire pit to the amazing beer garden, The Plough has never disappointed! Great for a date night/afternoon, catching up with friends, family gatherings, get togethers, drinks after works, special events - you name it I’m sure it’s the perfect place! I would advise calling ahead especially in the summer time due to bump boat races on the River Cam - it can get extremely busy however these are always great events but the tables book up fast, however the staff always try there best to accommodate you! They do have an option to book online too which is really handy as you can see how busy/quiet it may or may not be! Personally being a wheelchair user I prefer to call to make a reservation due to there being steps to the main restaurant however they are so accommodating they will make sure everyone has someone here to sit and be comfortable! The staff are really friendly even when it’s really busy the go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your time! Yes there may be a wait at times but with the ambiance inside and the river outside it definitely is worth waiting! The Food is excellent, they have both their main menu and in the summer they do a BBQ outside too (I’m not sure if this is all the time or just for special events but you can always call to check in advance), and when I say BBQ we’re talking big juicy burgers both meat and vegetarian, as well as pizzas, not your typical BBQ - much better! The bar can get extremely busy but they also have beer tents outside during the summer/when there’s events on (I’m not sure if it’s events only again you would have to check). A good few years ago I even had the pleasure of sitting outside for a delicious meal, with some drinks and live music playing (again this isn’t every day always check what’s going on at The Plough beforehand if you don’t want to be disappointed). My most recent visit to The Plough was absolutely brilliant I forgot to call ahead and didn’t know the bump boat races were on however they were still extremely helpful and accommodating the restaurant was fully booked and at maximum capacity but they still found a way for us (2 adults and 2 dogs) to get seated and enjoy a beautiful meal & cocktails… we sat outside so instead of going back to the main bar inside we used the beer tent and some lovely colds beers and jug of Pimm’s - which again the staff were brilliant, really friendly and due to me being in a wheelchair offered to help bring the drinks to the table even after I said I would take the beers and return for the Pimms! It was extremely busy but the staff could not have been more helpful (or friendly for that matter), bringing the cocktails from the bar inside to where we were out for us, as well as menus (the option of the BBQ was there too) and out food, they were extremely helpful despite how crazy it was that day and it was thoroughly enjoyable! BOTH Dog and Wheelchair friendly! - which is for me is an absolute bonus!!!

Had dinner with my family last week while visiting relatives in Cambridge, the atmosphere was cozy, the food was great and we didn’t wait long. Our waiter Igor was friendly and professional, as were the rest of the staff. The restaurant is not right in the center but it’s worth visiting.
