We had the set lunch menu and it was very good - it was like a party of flavours, all with their own distinctive taste and character - its quite incredible how many distinct flavours were in every bite, it was a real display of culinary mastery. I think for both of us our favourite was a courgette d
What no one can deny is that restaurants are among the most beautiful places where we can go and enjoy our time. When we are on the weekend we go with our family or with friends . Also, on holidays and at the end of the year, there are no places better than restaurants to go to. There are many types
We experienced a tasting menu with wine flight. It was stunning. Every dish was amazing in its own special way and the wine combinations with them was sublime. Really friendly explanations of wines and dishes. Very friendly service too. We will be back for sure!
Lovely little restaurant bar and hotel. Well renovated. Best described as old and romantic. With modern rooms.
Had an amazing lunch. The food was delicious. Nice quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend
Fantastic food at eminently reasonable prices. Served with a friendly, personal touch. If you live in Cambridge this restaurant should be on your bucket list.

We had lunch with friends and it was exactly what we were looking for: great food, prompt service, perfect atmosphere. We will definitely go back. We loved the option to have smaller portions, so we could enjoy some of the excellent starters too. The sourdough bread was perfect.
We popped in Sunday 12th February just before they closed for lunch and was pleased to find they could squeeze us in. I had the best roast beef lunch, how the chief packed that much flavour into one plate of food I’ll never know, my wife had the veloute and she was very pleased with it. We also had
We went for our anniversary and decided to go for the Chef's tasting menu. To start with they asked us what sort of foods we didn't like so they can select dishes appropriatly, which i thought it was great! Can't fault any of the plates, every course was delicious. The portions are small plates, as
Really lovely restaurant with delicious food, good service and a lovely atmosphere.
Fantastic meal as always with Mark and the team. The staff create a warm, welcoming environment and are very attentive. I would highly recommend visiting MJP @ The Shepard’s for any occasion you have. I can’t wait to experience Mark Poynton at Caistor Hall and see what creations they’ve come up wit
