After a very soggy dog walk along Felixstowe beach today we were in desperate need of warmth, the opportunity to dry off and a hot drink and food. Saltwater welcomed us into their lovely seafront restaurant (including Harry Dog - which we weren't expecting - we thought we'd have to sit in the truck
I visited with my son on a busy Saturday lunchtime in February.
The service was exceptional, very friendly and welcoming. My son enjoyed his chicken nuggets and chips meal. The food was hot and fresh, and a good size portion of chips in the kids portion too. Very reasonably priced.

Delicious fish and chips, idyllically situated on the Felixstowe seafront, with excellent, friendly and prompt service. Highly recommend the curry sauce - we'll be visiting here a lot in the summer! Options for gluten free, vegans and more.

Excellent fish and chips. Fresh and tasted great. Proper thick fish and the chips were well fried. Local ale from Mr Bees brewery is also served in bottles and staff were friendly.
Fish and chips were excellent. It's on the seafront so good view. Service was slow but some staff had not turned up. Those who were there were apologetic and friendly. Food made up for the wait!
Love this place use it everytime we go Felixstowe. They do gluten free fish and chips which a lot of places don't. Yesterday most the young staff didn't seem organised and were missing items off peoples orders, despite it being unusually quiet, hopefully they just need some additional training.
Food is very good....... but as we sat waiting for our food to come out I saw the cook drop his tea towel on the floor, accidently tread on it then pick it up and carried on using it. He was eating food all the time as he was preparing it, eating it with his fingers then using his bare hands to prep
We use this fish and chip shop as they cater for vegans and fry in palm oil. Happy we can eat a portion of chips and mushy peas down the seafront! The staff always seem to be busy working hard and the lady with colours in her hair seems to be there all the time and always so lovely.

As a coeliac, I was very excited to find they had lots of gluten free options. Was also very reasonably priced compared to other seafront chippies. Staff friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back!
A few days ago I went for a late lunch at Saltwater Fish & Chips on my first visit to Felixstowe Beach, and what a great experience I had!
The food was outstanding, as the fish & chips were cooked very well and the portion size was more than good! Definitely would reccomend anyone to order the mush

Not a large restaurant, but don't pass it by.
Quite a nice little chippy along the run of arcades and a stone's throw from the beach. If you get there early enough you can done in if you prefer.
