It is the best pub within half a mile of the sweet shop, as a couple who visit the area a couple of times a year ( you get great prices on mobility scooters in felixstowe ) we are always drawn to this most marvellous establishment. The beer is always well priced and very well kept ( thanks to a well engineered cellar cooler �) As for the locals? Well a warm welcome is guaranteed whether it is from Les (an expert skirting board decorator) Mr Smith the crane driver or your local friendly customs executive ( retired as us most of the population hence the cheap scooters) a conversation is always available ( a phrase book may be required,available at a sensible price at the bar) Beware the landlady she can be feisty and can Fart for england the landlord is of a kind disposition and much easier to communicate with. All in all an experience everybody should have ( after 6 pints it gets better trust me)I truly believe this should be on any tourists MUST experience list when visiting Britain or the area
Great bar, great staff and a great bunch of regulars.
We reguarly gig here with my band VT11, cracking bar, great atmosphere, loadsa fun to play to their crowd too.... Looking forward to being back there later in the year �
After hearing mixed reviews of this place we thought we’d give it a go ourselves with him loving steak and me loving seafood seemed like the perfect place….
And we were right!
The staff were faultless, the food was divine. We were asked for drinks quickly, our starters came quicker than I expected. Our steaks were cooked to perfection perfectly seasoned and very plentiful plates! Nice side salad and dressing. Sauces were amazing I had the red wine and shallot (highly recommend) Particularly the staff, the service made this place the two lovely ladies we had fuss round us really made our night perfect . The only thing I took a star off for was the lighting. It wasn’t a selling point for the food but, the food and service overtook that anyways .
OH AND THE TRUFFLE FRIES!!!!!!
We've eaten out here this evening. Table for 5, didn't pre book, turned up and they accomodated. What a wonderful experience! Polite and wonderfully attentive staff. Food was delicious. A mix of meat and seafood ordered.
Beautifully cooked and clean plates all round.

I went here with a group of 7 of us for my birthday and we were seated in the VIP area, which was a lovely touch, felt very private and perfect for the occasion. We were greeted with the most welcoming service, which carried on throughout the whole time there. We were gutted to know there was unfortunately no lobster that day as there had been floods, which we all understood. Despite this, and my 7 year old cousin being more upset than me about the lobster situation, the food was absolutely incredible. I had the lobster bon bons to start, they were not what I expected, but still amazing. Then for mains I got a steak cooked medium rare, and it was cooked to perfection, with some of maybe the nicest garlic prawns I have ever had. We do plan on going back to try the lobster next time as I'm sure it will be as good as the food was first time.

Absolutely brilliant meal this lunchtime, I would go so far as to say one of the best meals I have ever had, beautiful cooked, presented and in great surroundings. With food like this it deserves to be packed for every service, 11 /10
Lunch for three, shared two starters; lobster balls and salt and pepper squid. A couple of 1/2 lobster thermidors and a burger. Nice that the side salads were served dressed. Excellent chips. We thought meal was good value overall. 2 soft drinks and 4 glasses of wine; £109. Will return.
Excellent day out with friends from work. Food cooked to perfection. Very clean and welcoming !!. My order consisted of beer battered haddock with chunky chips and a side of battered onion rings. Lovely light and crispy batter on fresh fish. Highly recommended!!
The Steak was the best I have ever tasted. It was beautifully cooked and seasoned, well done. The Peppercorn sauce was delicious.
I had the Passionfruit Mousse for dessert and it was beautiful and light, which was perfect after a Steak.
We were downstairs, and I would definitely recommend you sit upstairs. Upstairs is less chaotic, and you'll get a great view of the sea.
I would recommend to eat here, the next time I fancy a steak will definitely come back.
Staff very attentive and kind.
We had a full Lobster in butter sauce and a Tomahawk with mushroom sauce. Lobster was really good and Tomahawk was amazing.

Me and my friend had a lovely ride on Sunday from London down to the beach. Got hungry and got to this restaurant. In seconds we got a table by the beach, the waiter who offered our table and got our drinks order was great and then a lady served our food, she triple checked if food is good, we are ok with the drinks and if we would like some dessert. She was 10/10! Food amazing and the atmosphere too! Will be back defo!
Food is absolutely delicious. Great service. Relaxing surroundings. Good value food. Just great all round. Will go again very soon.
My friend and I went here for pre dinner to the show in Spa Pavilion. We had never been before but the food was excellent, steak cooked perfectly, chips really nice, salad lovely. All in all a really nice, enjoyable meal would definitely go again and recommend this place 10/10
Visited on Saturday 17th October 2020, for lunch. Sat outside, across the road from the restaurant to take in the the Autumn sea air. Staff friendly and service fast. Food quality was good. The half lobster didn’t have a lot of meat to it. Soft drinks were a bit flat.
I love that lobster and grill is next to the seaside so if you are on the first floor you can enjoy the amazing view. The food was amazing too, I really enjoyed it! Definitely recommend.
Good range of food on the menu. It was a Sunday when I went I had a pork belly roast which was both delicious and generous. Staff have got the service down to to a T.
It is the best place to go and have a steak I did and it was like heaven soft and juicy and melt in the mouth and the chips where big chunky soft and crispy best by far and the pan fried salmon that was amazing and the great range of drinks I was spoilt for choice and the staff I found was very friendly and welcoming and very happy to help me especially Kayleigh and the front of house even the lunch time food was really nice sitting out in the sun having a nice cheese and coleslaw ciabatta with chips and salad and a cold was perfect I will be 100% back there for my food I would also recommend it to everyone to go and give it try
Absolutely amazing food and service, first time here and will definitely be back, the waitress was lovely and very accommodating. My only issue was it was cold upstairs.
