First time going there for 20 years and was thoroughly impressed. The service is impeccable, they take your every need and request into account. The food was amazing, we had the tasting menu with the accompanying wine. Would definitely return again.

Very calm and welcoming staff and a lovely environment. The food was beautifully prepared and wholesome. I enjoyed the deserts more than I usually do when I'm out. The wine was perfect.

Highly recommend this place. Was gifted a lunch here for our 25th and a year later we managed to find time to visit. So glad we did. Beautiful surroundings. Quiet inside. Staff were so polite and friendly and the food was fresh and extremely delicious. For what you receive I would say its worth paying that little bit extra. Will be back for sure.

A very special place. The most amazing food. Lovely dining experience for any special occasion. Love the pre-drinks and canopies in the lounge before dinner. Made to feel welcome and felt very comfortable in the formal dining rooms.

On Wednesday evening 7/6/23 my wife and I visited READS restaurant....a delightful present gift voucher 🎁 thanks to our Sweetheart Holly 👧❤... Reads restaurant is within Macknade Manor and situated just over a mile from Faversham Town centre ( bus route serves here at Bus stop Macknade Garage stop Nos. 3A & 638)) along the Canterbury Road A2. As you approach thesign-posted leafy tree lined entrance off the Canterbury Road... there lies a hidden gem! Within the grounds facing you stands MACKNADE MANOR, a period style achitecture Georgian era house. The neat short good surfaced driveway peels off to your right in front of the Manor and leads you to a well spaced car park 🚘 with ample parking spaces (disabled spaces inclusive).). Disabled entrance to the Manor House, and disabled toilets and seating inside too. The surroundings and grounds very beautiful and well preserved, with an abundance of various towering tree 🌳 species including Cedar, Horse Chesnut and Weeping Willow border the premises. The lush green lawns and flower beds so matching and are regularly visited by Robins, Thrushes, Wrens, and Blackbirds. Bird song virtuoso echos around the grounds in constant melody. A cosy warm little hidden corner of Kent. Our overall experience I describe here was excellent and one of the most relaxing summer evenings in our reckoning. For here at Reads the atmosphere within the restaurant was SO very peaceful, tranquil, and timeless. Eleagant beautiful Georgian period furnishings, fabrics, decor, and seating all throughout the interiors that are so comfortable. The hallway, lounge, dining rooms, and novel historic 'picture framed' corridors are all on the ground floor (as with the very clean hygenic toilets!). Macknade Manor shows a true periodical era of Georgian splendour. We were greeted by warm welcoming friendly, professional staff always happy to please...and they certainly did as we discovered! My personal applause 👏 and praise to the chef, catering staff, waitors, waitresses and managers for their recognisable effort and presentation. Cuisine and food menu course of the highest finest aquired taste and choice from the best local seasonal Kent produce produce....UNFORGETTABLE! 👏 Maybe or whether it was a one-off experience (?).....but certainly one to cherish and remember in every good aspect....and yes, definately worthy in consideration of a future return. I thank all the very kind managers, staff, waitors and waitresses for all photos allowed and taken with the utmost courtesy. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this pleasant stay ( 1830pm arrival here, opened at 1900pm, stayed til 2113pm) at Reads ...a memorable 💖 Kent location in our books. Excellent, well ✔ 👍 done Reads. Best regards Chris & Patricia. 💞

We visited Reads and had the dinner, room and breakfast package. The restaurant is in a beautiful location and has very scenic grounds. Our room was huge, immaculate in presentation and had lovely views of the grounds from the windows. There were no coffee/tea making facilities in the room and this was moved to a pantry down the hall that was communal for all guests. This was something to do with Covid regulations rather than having them individually in the room. Tea and coffee are free, everything else had a charge. It would have been preferable to have this in the room as we are very early risers and didn't want to go and use the pantry and risk waking other guests making a hot drink. Our room was very impressive but my wife and I found the bed pretty firm and we didn't get a good night's sleep due to this. Staff were very attentive, friendly and welcoming. I was very impressed with the restaurant having a table for us that we could come down for dinner at any time between 6.30-8.30pm. The restaurant was beautifully presented and only four tables in the room we were seated. This meant you didn't feel on top of the other guests and a really nice touch. The food was excellent - very well cooked and presented. There was nothing we didn't finish and we enjoyed everything placed in front of us. The portions were perfectly sized so by the end of the meal, my wife and I were completely full. The selection of wine was also very impressive and caters for all tastes! We never felt rushed or pressured, everything was taken at our pace - another massive positive. A genuine customer focus! Breakfast was either fruit, cereal or cooked. There was also toast, patisseries and a selection of homemade lemon curd, honey and jam. The cooked breakfast was perfect. I would highly recommend this venue and restaurant for that special celebration.

First visit and won’t be the last, we had the lunch taster menu and it was outstanding, highlights for me where the halibut and lobster bisque, my husband loved the soufflé! Service was impeccable thanks to the lovely Danni (hope the spelling is correct).. The setting and ambiance are wonderful and wouldn’t hesitate to come back again - well done for bringing back our much needed enthusiasm for good food served at a high standard
