We went in for Mother's Day and the menu for the day looked amazing. Service was absolutely spot on and the food was to die for. It isn't the cheapest but it isn't extortionate either. You basically pay for good quality food. Luckily Barclaycard paid for my meal so may have to wait a little while before going back but to be fair, to find an independent pub serving food of this standard is a rareity. Well done to all the staff and especially Cook. If you want to take someone out for a nice meal then head here because you won't regret it.πππππ
Came here with family one Sunday and had the most beautiful roast dinner! We had some starters which were very tasty and reasonably priced and then a very large roast dinner with plenty of meat, vegetables and extras! I would highly recommend this place to eat. Friendly staff and a very warm atmosphere! I will definitely be coming back soon! xx
This place is awesome, food is good especially the pizza, garden is great for kids and dogs are welcome. Best by far though are the friendly and highly accommodating staff! Nothing was too much trouble.

Bbq was great, nice atmosphere as a company we use the crown a lot, we always go there as it is so close to us for gatherings οΏ½ would highly recommend not only for business but for pleasure too.
We had a fantastic mid week meal at The Crown. The food was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection, as always! We went for the 2 course menu deal. Brilliant value, excellent ingredients paired with wonderful wine. Great service too!
The food was first class as were the staff despite a large party in the back room. Sunday roast was excellent along with the sticky toffee pudding. Good selection of good beer as well. Will be back for sure.
Beautiful weather, lots of seating, excellent serving staff, lovely food, dessert was the banana sticky toffee, could have eaten 2! Not much more I can say but thanks for looking after us π

Had a really nice Sunday lunch. We arrived around 2, we were seated quickly in the well decorated and clean dining area backing onto the garden. We were served quickly and the food came out in good time. We just had main ,roast beef with veg and a nice Yorkshire pudding. Veg was all cooked well and potatoes were tasty. All in all a very good roast. Definitely worth a visit.
First experience at Chris Wheeler's new location The Crown, since leaving Stoke Park as Head Chef. Now Chef Patron here. Tucked away down a winding lane, passing trade must be relatively few so it needs some better publicity to boost it. We ate on a Saturday and still some tables were empty. Having said that, the food was excellent. Beautifully presented, hot and delicious. We had the tasting menu. Absolutely delightful. Great standard and as good as we got at Stoke Park when that was functioning. The bar and restaurant staff need some training. Although the front of house Manager was experienced and did oversee our order, she does need better support for a smoother running service. Will go again as the food definitely is worth the journey.
Tip: Be prepared for a pitch black car park when you leave the pub. A few lights directed that way from the pub would make getting back to your car a lot more pleasant.

Not been to this pub for nearly twenty years, but visted for a roast this weekend and wasn't disappointed. The staff were very welcoming and catered to our pre-madonna of a dog as well as treating us well.
Roast was great quality and well priced.
Will definitely return.
A decent pub with a good beer garden. The food is good, and the staff were very helpful and quick. The big garden and play area make it kid friendly, while still allowing others to have a quiet meal.
There is lots of good walking nearby, especially through Burnham Beeches. (Though the last 100m along Crown Lane is not the most pedestrian friendly - an alternative footpath to Thompkins Lane needs to be known about). That said most people will probably drive and there is lots of parking.
Only downside is that it is slightly on the pricey side though.
Definitely a must visit! The food was creatively presented and absolutely delicious, the staff is very warm and welcoming, and the cocktails were very generous! My family and I highly recommend it.

Superb lunch with friends today. The food and service were both excellent.
Just had the most amazing Sunday dinner. There were 6 of us and every one of us agreed it was the best we'd ever had. Staff were friendly, efficient and accommodating. I'm a vegetarian, so they cooked my yorkshires separately to avoid the animal fat and I was given my own gravy for the same reason. Even the price was amazing at roughly Β£35 a head including alcoholic drinks and a starter. There was so much food we've taken 2 doggy bags home. We'll definitely go again and would thoroughly recommend.

Quaint pub, went here for a Christmas dinner with colleagues. Had the earm brie starter, salmon for main and a poached pear for dessert.
