Hadn't been in for over a year due to issues in the past with sending food back, bad experiences etc... knowing chef's etc had changed myself and hubby took a chance as we drove past. We got a sharing platter and nachos followed by profiteroles and a hot brownie. Fab! Even told the manager that whatever they have changed they need to keep that way. Tasty food, good value, refillable drink option etc. Keep up the good work guys! Even on a busy day, short staffed, you all had smiles on your faces x

Pleasant Brewers Fayre to visit whilst staying at the Premier Inn here. The pub is spacious with a variety of seating areas, a relaxing atmosphere about the place and the food is usually good quality, plus excellent service from the friendly staff. Pretty much a standard Brewers Fayre experience that have no issues with whatsoever. Recommended for their Sunday Roasts!

Spontaneously popped in for a late lunch and was very pleasantly surprised the service and food was great 👍 the food, we had the trio of pies was very nice and my husband also enjoyed his Ice cream sundae for dessert. Really impressed it was way better than our local brewers fayre, will be back when in the area.

Wasn't told no goujons when ordered but the replacement chicken breast was lovely!. Nice clean tables, menus could do with a wipe though as a bit sticky. Overall would be happy to go again.

We were a group of 2 adults and a child and all of us had a really nice meal. The customer service was really good from every member of staff we encountered. We prebooked a table for 7.30pm on a Saturday evening and it was fairly quiet. The food came quickly and was really good. Menu options are really varied and I had 3 side orders which were really good sizes. It's almost back to normal now so you place your order at the bar - they did offer a table service if you weren't confident to do that though. Was really pleased the sorry drinks are back to refillable. Definitely recommended for a family meal.

A big chain pub, next to a motel. A pleasant walk through the nature reserve, wildlife park from nearby housing. Huge car park if driving. Playback for kids. Looks very busy mid-week with motel residents eating & drinking into the evening. Tonight the staffing levels were low, leading to long queues at the bar. But the (two) staff were working well to deal with the build up of custom. Didn't eat tonight, but an adjacent table were served very quickly by the catering staff and the food looked fresh and good. We will return in the future, and the all-you-can-eat-breakfast (kids eat for free) sounds like a challenge worth trying.

Far exceeded my expectations! Sunday carvery was fabulous! Crispy roasties, decent meat and all the veg extras and condiments. All scrummy!
Did get there before 1pm

Limited menu as supply difficulties apparently. Not one of the better brewer's fayre I've been too. Revisited today now that restrictions have lifted. Full menu back and food orders once again taken at the bar. We enjoyed our visit on this occasion.

Oh dear the wheels have come off in this establishment. Went there this evening for a meal with my parents and 3 yr old. The place was empty, and although our waitress tried her best the service was let down by everything else. 2 meals had to be sent back as they where luke warm at the best, my 3 year olds child portion had the same amount of the chips as my father's gammon meal. The gammon was over cooked and had lots of charcoal from the griddle on it. The 2 meals were swapped and were better but not great.
The tables around us where very dirty underneath and had not been cleaned after the last customers had been. Our table was not cleared after we left some 25 minutes after finishing. We complained about the experience to the manager who confirmed that we were not the first to complain about the sizing of the chip portions on the meals. She did compensate for our poor experience removing one of the meals which was a token offer to say the least.
After paying, I had the unpleasant experience of taking my little one to the toilet. The cubicles were both strewn with toilet paper and there was excrement visible on the floor around the toilet. It was obvious that these had not been checked for sometime, I wonder how environmental health would take to this.
Overall this was not a pleasant experience and we will not be visiting anytime soon.

Went to this restaurant for a Birthday meal for two of my daughters. It wasn't our first choice but we ended up there Anyway. Biggest mistake. The place is dark and dirty looking, the staff are to say the least lacking in customer service skills, the place was vertually empty. Our meals took so long to come to table. Veg was cold, meat pudding was awful. They couldn't fulfil one burger order properly through lack of certain ingredients. An accompanying mango chutney was missing from the curry dish. Parts of the mixed grill were burnt. The waiting staff seemed to be running round doing nothing in particular, they didn't even bother to ask if our meals were OK. We then ordered some desserts, which took over an hour to appear & that's only because I asked how much longer we had to wait the apple pie had collapsed and looked a mess on the plate, the caramel toffee apple crumble were disgusting . Think it's safe to say " We will not be returning to this venue. They should close it down.....!

Went for fathers day breakfast . I don't know how long the food had been on the hotplate , but everything was hard . Beans and mushrooms were lukewarm . I ended up having cereal . And the best thing was the cup of tea which I made myself . This place has really gone downhill .

I'd love to tell you what the food here is like, but we didn't get that far! We were waiting almost an hour, in which time the waitresses didn't even get so far as to take our drinks order, let alone our food. We were sitting there watching the staff chatting away to each other, seemingly doing their best to avoid acknowledging that we were even there.

Terrible food, nice enough staff but service poor with late meals and having chase desserts. Food cold and poor quality across 4 meals and 2 courses, would not recommend. Wished we had looked at reviews before going now....

Good food and great service from Manager and staff for our little get together on Sunday 11th June. Celebrating a 60th wedding anniversary with 35 people, young and old, everyone enjoyed the day. Made amendments to numbers on the day with little fuss. Side room made available for us to decorate. Again a huge Thank you to manager & staff for making it so easy and enjoyable.

An hour later and still waiting for our food and have a child with us. Told our food was coming out and yep still waiting nearly 10 mins later. Others who ordered after us have already eaten and finished. Rubbish!

Visited 14/06/2017 - Took 20 minutes to get a drink lady on the bar couldn't go any slower if she tried. Ordered drinks no wine glasses was given wine in a brandy glass, was told barrel was being changed on larger would bring it over waited 20 minutes went back to the bar was then told they had no one who could charge a barrel which is outrageous in a pub! Asked if I could have a different larger was given bitter asked for it to be changed again lady on the bar rolled her eyes stomped off gave me another drink took 35 minutes to get the drinks order right. Ordered food which arrived both mixed grills steak was rock hard supposed to be medium rare. Ask to speak to a manager was told there wasn't one on duty hard to believe but wouldn't surprise me. Complain to a lady who told us the lady on the bar was tired and was hot. Well sorry we inconveniencing her by ordering drinks but I thought that was what the bar was for.
Asked for kids desserts twice eventually arrived had to stack dinner plates in middle of the table as it would seem they don't clear tables in this restaurant as the plates on other tables that were there when we arrived we're still there when we left we never did get our table cleared.
Would hate to visit when it's busy as you would never get served.
This restaurant has gone dramatically down hill use to be a great place to take kids.
Very poor service, rude staff place is a shambles.

visited last night, party of 12,waited so long for food had to get refunds for 2 of the meals as 10 of the guests had finished their meals before the last 2 came out, waited an hour and a half for puddings which were like warm on arrival, portions are small, especially the chips,,,most of the staff were new and looked like they'd been thrown in at the deep end. It's a lovely family pub but needs someone more experience to run it,more training needed, more staff even,,,,not sure if we'll go back for a while,if at all.to have to stop ordering food because staff have walked out halfway through a shift needs addressing asap.Utter chaos.

Used to go to there all time with family and friends and can not believe how downhill it's gone. We thought we would give it another try since our last bad experience. Took the kids out for an early dinner before swimming(was quite pleased as we could get the early meal deal). We went up to the bar to place our order. There was only one person serving and the service was already slow as she couldn't find a Bulmers on the till. After waiting there for 10 mins another staff member arrived, not the friendliest I will add, and told us we weren't allowed the deal anymore as it was 6:05. We then explained that we were ready to order before 6 and so was 4 other people. The Manager came and without even listening just said that that was the deal and we are not allowed it. So glad we decided to leave and so did 12 other people. Such a shame that a, what once was a lovely family place, now have to be run by people like that. So much for friendly customer service.

For spending £40 on 3 chips, 1 sweet potato fries, sharing potato platter, Brie melts, I thought it was absolutely terrible compared to what's about locally. Brie melts were £5 for 3 small nugget size melts. Appalling!! Chips were so small one small child needed more. Never going back to eat ever!!with so much competition locally what on earth are you guys doing????

Had a great family weekend at Premier Inn & Brewers Fayre... What lovely staff & great food. We was a party of 29, the service was brilliant, we was all served really quick & they made sure we was happy. Gemma & Dave are very warm, welcoming & funny (apart from when they was chucking us out at midnight lol!) the food was hot & tasty and a good choice, breakfast was plentiful. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back again. Thank you for helping to make a family get together enjoyable & memorable. Well done to all the staff. Xx

Well what can I say , went in with myself my 3 and half year old daughter and a friend , we went in and no-one spoke to us at all , found a table which had no menus at as most if them didn't, the place was completely empty apart from a couple of people in the whole place , we thought we would book as would of thought it would be busy far from it ! Went to the car and ordered food of the paprika chicken , the choritzo and chicken pie , scampi and a child's burger, and a side of cauliflower cheese , paid and then sat down , little one needed the toilet so went not there , came back and the 2 waitresses were just standing at our table with the food , gave it to us then told me no cauliflower cheese , why didn't the guy who served me tell me they had ran out, so she tried to replace with veg but I had cheesy hair bread instead .
So onto the food omg what a load of crap!!! The hot buttery potatoes were uummmmm ......... COLD and shrivelled up and no butter had to ask, the salad was old and wilting , the chickebn was cold and dry , this goes for all the dinners at the table , didn't get chance to complain as the second the dinners were.on the table the staff were gone and didn't return to ask how it was . Otherwise I would of quite happily complained . Won't be returning here at all as it was rubbish

Met up with friends yesterday around 4 at Monkey puzzle.
We were looking forward to the buffet!
What Buffet?????? The buffet had been cancelled and no one had cared to tell us.
The excuse was they had no food as the delivery had failed to turn up........had children with us,ordered chicken pieces off the bar menu as children were hungry, paid for the chicken then told no chicken!!!!!!
Then ordered chips with curry sauce!!! No curry sauce!!!! Cheesey chip then, guess what no bloody cheesy chips....place is a total disaster....What pub has no food!!! There should of been a sign up stating no food before us ordering and paying for drinks!!!
Paul Dawson
Ordered 3 meals together, served one at a time. Meal 1 finished before 2 was served. Meal 2 finished before meal 3 arrived. Takes an age to be served at the bar, had to repeat food order 5 times while being put onto till screen correctly.
Don't usually complain about anything at all, so this must be bad. Wouldn't recommend. Shame it's linked to the Premier Inn which was excellent.
Russell Camp
Had a good meal, kitchen ran out of smothered chicken, but the 2 that ordered were happy with the replacements, helpful friendly staff. All you can eat buffet breakfast, lovely as ever.
Tracy Tomlinson
Absalutly shocking , we went for the fish and chip buffet , no fish , no chips , no sausage , no fish cake , just a few crumbs , waited 20 mintutes and hey brought out 6 sausages , which the people in front of the queen got and then still no food !
It's such a shame as the garden is so nice on a summers day !
Won't be going back !!
This is not the first time had problems !!
Why do a buffet if they can't keep up with it ???

We always visit and 75% of the time, service and food is usually good.. visited for my youngests birthday meal, there were 10 of us altogether. 2 of the meals came out 20 mins before the rest and when the rest came out one of the kids meals was stone cold and had to be sent back, we then waited 35 mins for dessert to come. We also asked the staff 3 times to bring the cake out and eventually 20 mins later it turned up! I wouldn't of minded if the place was heaving but it wasn't. Guys you need more staff!? The blonde waitress who served us we couldn't complain about, she was lovely but feel sorry for her as she was back, forward and apologising like a blue arse fly!
