The Plaice - Fareham - Photo album

best fish and chips take away i had at fareham. the staff are very friendly and very nice people and they are very polite towards me and the customers i had around me. would definitely come back again and will definitely recommend it to each one of you that wants a fancy fish and chips.
Popped by today and had a battered sausage. Got to have been the best I have had. The batter was really good. And cooked to perfection. Will be coming back. Yours sincerely Steve
Very polite, very efficient, and great food. Open on bank holiday Monday too. Very pleased.
Usually good. Friendly staff and quick service. First few times the food was great but last couple times have been a bit disappointing. They always ask twice if we want salt and vinegar and we always say yes but then can’t taste it at all. Chips are little under done last time too. Burgers and batte
Nice chippy and helpful staff. Some negatives though hence the 3 stars: - cash only - food can be bad sometimes, not sure if it's the cook/time of day or something - it's so busy and there's no parking outside. The delivery drivers take all the spaces
Best tasting fish and chips in the Fareham area. Eaten from there several times and its normally exellent but sometimes just good! wont go anywhere else around here.
Perfectly cooked chips and a lovely generous size cod with crispy batter will deffo use again
Just had a great meal from The Plaice - trouble is, It wasn’t what I wanted - I ordered Haddock and ate cod and my friend said her cod was just like haddock - really wish they would just put an initial on the delivery box! Apart from that - great
Excellent take away fish and chips
Excellent fish a chip shop with some great staff
Great fish beautifully cooked. Love the chips. Good ordering system. August 2022 Shop still cooks great fish and chips BUT due to heavy demand and use by collection/delivery services, ordinary customers have to wait much longer for their orders to be fulfilled.
All freshly cooked hence great grub, great portions, well priced . What else can one ask for :-) see[ it up. Regular user
I read the reviews and thought I'd try it, fully expecting to be disappointed, I didn't know what to have so went for a large cod, chips, a mixed kebab, chunks of chicken and lamb Donner.... Best thing I ever did! The chicken was amazingly tender and tasty, best ever, I used to think that all lamb D
The best plaice in the area for an extensive menu, not just fish and chips. The Kebabs and Shish are super tasty. Parking can be an issue when busy but try to get a space. It will be worth the trouble.
Great fish and chip shop. Would not go any where else. Only slight criticism is that wait times can be a little long, but I guess that's cos there so busy. Would be good if you could start taking card payments though. Highly recommend and food is very good and clean. Staff always happy here.
This Plaice ticks all of the right boxes. Fairly quick serving time, friendly staff, clean premises, nice food and at reasonable prices! I’ve gone to most Fish ‘n’ Chips and Kebab Shops in Highlands and this is by far my favourite! I highly recommend the Cod, Haddock and Cheese and Onion Fry’s.
