Simply one of the best meals we have ever had! We are regular visitors to Michelin starred and multiple AA rosette restaurants and this was better than almost all of them. We had the tasting menu with wine pairing and the food was phenomenal in both the cooking and presentation. The wines chosen we
Highly accomplished cooking. Beautiful dishes, presented with great care and delicious local flavours. A lovely venue, reminding us of a south european setting, very cosy and welcoming. We shared a number of small plates but the tasting menu also looked amazing. Highlights were the scallop dish and
Excellent underground restaurant offering a tasting menu or small plates. We went for the small plates. Excellent Porthilly oysters. We also had the quail scotch eggs, focaccia, mackerel ceviche, Mylor scallops, monkfish and smoked sirloin. All dishes were excellently prepared and presented. Really
Fantastic food, service, setting. Can't complain about anything. Feel bad it was so quiet on a Thursday evening. Pray people read this and go. All food was a class apart from most things I've had in Cornwall. This was chapping on Michelin territory. The best course was the pork tenderloin with pan
What a gem of a discovery! Dropped in for a midweek meal and was treated to the best 10 courses I've ever eaten. The wine flight was matched to perfection. The food tastes, textures and temperatures were on point. The menu told a story with delicious autumnal drama. The service was perfect and the s
I’ve walked past this place 100 times and never noticed it before. A simple sign leading down some steps is your only clue to the existence of this treasure. Decorated like a Greek tavern with white wash walls and simple art, the restaurant has both a cosy and classy vibe. The food is served tapas s
One of the best meals we've had. Yes, portions are small, but they're reasonably priced considering the love and craftsmanship that has gone into each one of of them. Every mouthful was an experience. Standout dishes were the mushroom ravioli, the hake, and the chicken. Service was impeccable; frie
Fantastic food and service. The place is tiny, so make sure to book ahead of time. They offer 70GBP 6 courses menu or small plates. The plates aren't that small, though. We had 2 dishes each, and 2 desserts, and were full by the end of it. Scallops, sirloin steak and crab were all very interesting.
This is an incredible place. We had the tasting menu and it was flawless. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere with the highest standard of food and service. We will definitely be going back.
Truly excellent - had the tasting menu and it was exceptional. Been to Michelin starred places that were not as good. Highly recommended.
