Don't be put off by the entrance ! An excellent sea food restaurant, nice atmosphere, well looked after by the lovely young lady. The calimari was the best I've ever eaten. Big recommend

A quaint little gem tucked away in a side street. Nice selection of fish dishes as well as other dishes all reasonably priced. My starter portion of calamari was generous and delicious. Nice array of desserts too. The sticky toffee pudding was really good. If you order a starter and main you get a dessert for free. Only seemed to be one waitress but she managed very well and was very lovely. Will definitely come back on our next visit to Falmouth.

Amazing seafood platter and sea bream special. Despite it being very quiet in the restaurant which worried us initially (although it is February) we can safely say this was one of the best fish meals we've had. Beautifully cooked fish and so reasonably priced. It's in a quiet side street but seek it out! Fantastic!

What a discovery, delicious fish and seafood. A charming restaurant down a side alley decked in wooden plank walls with low ceilings. Greeted with a smile from our waitress with ‘baby in progress‘ proudly embroidered on her top. Specials are described on boards outside repeated inside with a list of the general standards. We chose the Fish Cakes and Chowder for starters. You can double up any starter to have as a main course which is a good idea, sadly missing in most restaurants. The chowder was filled with pieces of fish and lumps of new potatoes served in cream. Very rich and a little heavy for a main but delicious as a starter. My wife’s fish cakes where delicious, full of fish. My wife’s main course of fillet of Sea Bass served with scallops and smokey bacon, the fish cooked perfectly. My trio of fish, beautifully cooked and well seasoned served with vegetables was totally delicious. A thoroughly enjoyable meal with pleasant service, reasonable prices what more can you ask for. We left totally happy with the whole evening. If you like fish and seafood we can totally recommend this place and we will be back.

We were looking for a good place to have seafood during our trip to Cornwall and The Hut was a recommendation by our neighbour! We’re so glad we came here. We really enjoyed the seafood chowder and the daily special (a trio of 3 different types of fish - monk fish, dover sole and sea bass with a side of baby potatoes and salad). The portions were generous, the food was delicious, and the service was super friendly. Thank you so much for a great evening!

Awesome food and really helpful and friendly staff. Really recommend the fish. All four of us had fish starters and only one didn’t have fish as a main but ALL plates were left clean! Thanks to the kitchen for some of our requests, nothing was too much trouble! Keep up the awesome work guys and we will definitely be back next time we visit Falmouth. Also good luck with the baby Rosie xxx

Fantastic little restaurant good selection on the menu homemade crab or fish cakes are great, the chicken gougons, fish curry and the steak are my favourites, the catch of the day is also a favourite cooked fantastically the fish changes but the preparation is the same. Side salads are large and varied, chips are homemade not frozen cheap chips and vegetables are fresh and cooked well. If you buy any starter and main course you get a dessert for free. Very reasonably priced and great portion sizes we never go home hungry which is something you can't say about other more well known restaurants in Falmouth

The Hut has changed hands since my last visit ten or so years ago it used to be the place to go for scallops and fish pie in Falmouth. The scallops are still good a good use of Parma ham rather than black pudding. I tucked into the fish curry which was excellent a good level of spice but the fish was still tasty. Hopefully taking a work team there next week.

Amazing food, we found this the freshest fish we have ever had, cooked in great homemade sauces. Lovely staff with honest recommendations for drinks and food. A must go in the East coast of Cornwall. Amazing, cosy atmosphere too.

I came here for a birthday meal with my other half and we were welcomed kindly and chose our table to sit down at. The restaurant itself is hidden away down a little alley and you go own some stairs into what feels like a luxury beach hut with a very relaxed and gentle vibe. We both had calamari to start with salad which was gorgeous and shared the seafood platter as a main which was huge! We each had two large claws to share as well as three parts of the main body to pick at. It also came with prawns and local fish caught that afternoon. Although the platter was £36 we found it could have easily fed 3-4 and we definitely got our moneys worth, we even ordered chips with it which we really didn't have needed to as the platter came with decent amounts of french bread. We then received a free pudding as we had purchased and starter and a main which was a delicious ending! This place is a real hidden gem and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves fish and seafood- although they do other things such as steak too.
