Our first visit to Daaku and it did not disappoint! Although the menu wasn't packed with choice like other Indian restaurants, what they did have on offer was excellent! Definitely quality over quantity. Good size portions, reasonably priced, staff were lovely and friendly and the service was quick! We will definitely return, highly recommend!

Honestly the best tasting food I’ve had! Felt homely with so much flavour and the staff were phenomenal. We had the sticky pork ribs, garlic chicken, pilau rice, chippati and the halva for dessert! I also got a chai tea.

This restaurant is sensational! 😊👏. My family and I have just enjoyed a most incredible meal and memorable experience at this unique and magical restaurant in the centre of Falmouth. This is a hidden gem that is not to be missed. The menu is so unique and limited but this is what makes it special as you know everything on the menu is well thought out and fresh. The flavours are delicious and tantalising and the staff and owners are amazing adding a pleasant and personal touch to your dining experience. The decor and colours in the restaurant are so beautiful and uplifting. Highly recommended and not to be missed!

We had four meals and all very good indeed. Nice amount of spice and heat and all tasty and looked great on the plates all of which were returned to the friendly staff wiped clean! Lovely place.

Special treat to have the head chef (assume wiener) come to the table to talk about the origins of the menu. Truly special. Fantastic aromas from when the dishes were on the table. Limited menu but not your traditional British Indian restaurant, this is something else.

Really really nice authentic curry. I like the fact the menu is limited. The owners/chefs came out at the end of the night to talk to the customers which was a really nice touch. Will definitely return next time I stay in Falmouth.

We had waited patiently to be able to sit down and enjoy a meal at what was once just a take away establishment, a take away that everyone raved about. We were not disappointed. They have a small menu for a very good reason, they want their food to stand out and not be representative of most other curry houses anywhere. The owners know how to create great tasting food and so they give the attention to those few items, rather than producing average taste across 40 or 50 dishes. They change the menu weekly so you know that each visit will be unique, again putting their focus on making sure those few items are perfectly crafted. We chose to share a chicken and lamb dish, with a rice, spiced bread and what turned out to be a surprise mango chutney. Each item we received came packed with flavour, each herb and spice was there to taste - that sounds weird but with most curries you simply have an onslaught of flavour and heat - here the balance was perfect and the taste clean and fresh, even down to the rice which you could literally pick out each grain, it was that well cooked, each grain was actually tasty, again a weird thing to say but in most Indian restaurants the rice is there to mop up the sauce, here it was an element of the dish. We like a glass or two of wine with our meal and we were surprised that for a decent bottle they didn't charge the earth. So from the warm and friendly greeting, the knowledgeable staff who showed enthusiasm for the owners venture, the food and wine, and yes even to the point of paying, this is a 5 star restaurant that should be on your list as a resident or a visitor to Falmouth. We will return as sit down customers (already booked if for August when we have friends visiting) and will now go out of our way to venture in to town to grab a takeaway from them. Thanks for a great experience.

Food and service here was really good. So good that I forgot to take photos of we ate. The spices used create a different taste profile that what you would normally expect from your typical Indian restaurant but it wasn't too far of a departure that it was completely different.

I recently dined at DAKU and had a delightful experience. The daal was rich and flavorful, complemented perfectly by the refreshing raita. The chapati was soft and served warm, making it a great accompaniment. The highlight of the meal was definitely the gajar ka halwa – a heavenly dessert that was not too sweet and had a wonderful blend of flavour’s and the surprise of the night was bitter gout pickle. The overall meal was a satisfying and authentic indian journey.

Pleasantly surprised by the efficiency and the artistry of the food! We’ve literally walked in from the streets praying they would accept us without a reservation! Not only they were really friendly but the whole experience was amazing! There aren’t enough words to describe the food: different than anything I’ve ever eaten, multilayered textures, mixed flavours but not overwhelming at all! Is a type of meal where you need to take a bite and chew slowly allowing to be hit by all the flavours! We had the Cheese Paneer, the Chicken Dopiaza, the pork belly and the combination was delicious! But for me the Samosas were life changing: so delicate but so strong flavours! I’m a foodie and this is the place to achieve pleasure and satisfaction!

A thoroughly enjoyable experience and a must try if you are visiting! We were blown away by the food, service and atmosphere in the restaurant. It was some of the best Indian food that I’ve ever eaten and there were loads of absolutely delicious vegan options too. Jasmine and Ben were lovely, friendly and attentive. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be back next time we visit! We also loved that the menu changes on a weekly basis based on ingredients seasonality which is a really lovely touch. Would highly recommended!

Stumbled across Daaku and wasn’t really that hungry but it looked too good to pass on! We had a delicious little feast, our 18 month old also joined in and demolished half my food. The owner and her team were so welcoming, we’ll be back :) A real hidden gem in Falmouth.

If you want to try quality Indian food with a difference, then try the Daaku. The menu is small, but with a choice of vegetarian, chicken or beef dishes, and a small choice of side dishes. Between the 4 of us we tried a number of the dishes, and all agreed the food was amazing, and of excellent quality. I would certainly recommend a visit if you like good quality authentic Indian food, but with a slight twist on the standard Indian fare you will get in a run of the mill indian restaurant.
