Found this place by accident a few days ago, it looked really good, menu was inviting and the decor was a little bit different. So glad they were able to squeeze us in. Had an absolutely fabulous meal and resolved to come back again (tonight) before the end of our holiday. The food was just divine, the Fillet steak was the best I've ever had ( & I've had some steaks). We sampled several cocktails (all in the name of research you understand) and they were expertly made. Full marks to the chefs & front of house staff. I really cannot recommend this place enough. We will definitely be coming back here on our next visit to Falmouth. P.S. Its a small, but charming restaurant, so booking in advance is recommended to avoid disappointment as its always very busy.

Stunning food and great atmosphere. Thank you for squeezing us in last night! Well worth a visit. Never tried Bobotie, loved it and as for the Espetada, scrummie. Homemade Biltong is a must ...now to try and make it at home.

Wonderful food! The giant tiger prawns were excellent and the spare ribs were succulent, very tender and tasty! Lovely desserts of Koeksisters and milk pudding with cinnamon with a coconut biscuit base and fresh fruit was amazing! Excellent cocktails! Welcoming, friendly staff! Will return the minute we're back in Falmouth! A*****

We didn't have a table booked but the owner very kindly found space for our group of 5. Had a fantastic night, the food was exquisite. The Tiger prawns with garlic butter were the best I've ever had. If your in falmouth you have to go here. You will not be disappointed.

Another great meal at Amanzi ! This time for Sunday lunch, the choice from the set menu is varied and very reasonable and, as usual, the service is superb. Give it a try!

What a perfect find. We were just walking past on a rainy Tuesday lunchtime and decided to pop in for a quick drink. This turned out to be a cream tea.. yes in an African restaurant but it was so nice, one of the best finds to date and the staff were so pleasant. Well done we will definitely be back next time we are in Falmouth.

What a lovely warm reception we were given at Amanzi tonight. We were looking forward to trying the restaurant after reading great reviews and we were not disappointed. It was difficult to choose - but we eventually settled on ribs and the ostrich sosatie. We'd recommend both! Our compliments to the chef, because the ostrich, which is a lean meat, wasn't overcooked or dry. The meat chunks were a good size and had been seared well on the braai, with apricot and bacon between. The pork ribs fell off the bone and had a delicious sweet, smokey sauce. Remember it's South African portions, so maybe arrive half starved. And don't forget to book. We're so glad to have found Amanzi and it will definitely be an essential part of our Cornish holidays.

One of my dad’s favourite restaurants. We thought we would try breakfast. Sat on the balcony overlooking the harbour. Nice choice of breakfasts with a South African twist. Not disappointed and will definitely go back.

We sat out the back on the balcony and had a nice view of the harbour. I had the chicken and avocado burger for lunch, and a cocktail. There's plenty of activity and sounds around the harbour for atmosphere while you eat and drink. The staff were friendly and chatty.

If you're looking for authenticity, then look no further. The service is kind and friendly and the vibe... well, I could have been in Cape Town. I nearly forgot where I was, but soon got brought back down to earth when i saw a man through the window, eating a pasty. That poor man might never know the joy of a boereworse or drinking an ice cold Windhoek Lager. We can't all be that lucky, but i am, and so could you! My only complaint is that I couldn't eat everything on the menu. I plan to remedy this by frequent future visits! Many thanks to everyone at Amanzi, my fiancé and I had a great time and will be back soon!

Lovely restaurant with pavement seating out front to have a coffee and watch the world go by on the popular walking street. Also has balcony seating out the back with views over the harbour. Interesting African themed interior with comfy seating. Really friendly staff and looked after us well.

Great experience overall. Being a Saffa visiting Cornwall, Amanzi crossed our path by surprise and was so worth it. Great food, brilliant service, well decorated restaurant with all themes Southern Africa. When back in Cornwall, definitely our first stop. Thank you Amanzi! 🇿🇦😁

Went for breakfast and overall was lovely. Had the Amanzi breakfast with amazing bacon and spicy veg but the star of the show were the “sad chips” (which were all but sad rather ironically). Had that with the roosterkoek which was ok but not sure if it was worth the extra £5. Overall it was a really great breakfast with nice service and would love to come back for dinner

We came to Cornwall for my son's birthday (he's at uni there and has wanted to try this place for ages). What a great place to eat. We booked for Saturday night and could only get a table at 5pm. When we got there most of the tables had reserved signs on them, and by 6pm all the tables were full. A full restaurant is always a good sign I think. Very welcoming staff, and good atmosphere. We ordered drinks which arrived quickly, we had several different cocktails throughout the night, and all were delicious. For starters we had calamari, and bunny chow which were both amazing, and for mains we had espetada which was easily the best dish, ostrich sosatie which was lovely, and bobotie. For dessert we had mud pie, and malva pudding. Both excellent. We had a really good evening, it was very busy but the staff were buzzing around and quick to help whenever needed. Great place, booking beforehand is probably a good idea. It's not that cheap, the prices are higher than the menu photo from 6 months ago (the espetada was £28, the sosatie was £30 and the bobotie was £22), but it's still worth it for a nice evening out. They also sell biltong, droewors and stokkies too, what's not to like!

I've lived in Cornwall 25yrs and can honestly say this was the best meal I've had since living here (sorry mum). My wife always wanted to try Amanzi's and it didn't disappoint. The food was absolutely amazing, the staff/owner were very friendly and welcoming. Honestly get yourself down there, you won't be disappointed

Absolutely amazing food and service. Couldn't recommend it enough. I had the ostrich, the husband had the ribs (half a rack was PLENTY) and our daughter had fish fingers and chips. Loved the fact they offer Tusker's...anyone in Falmouth or visiting should try to get a table booked. You won't regret it 🤤🤤

I don't often leave reviews but I had too on this occasion. We turned up as walk-ins the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We had a table on the decking outside. We ordered ribs and hanging espetada. Both were fantastic. The triple fried chips were excellent. We had walked past the two previous evenings, regrettably. Would have loved to have had the opportunity to go a second time. Give it a go you won't be disappointed...
