Absolutely amazing place and well worth the wait and the advance booking to eat here. We had almost everything on the menu and every dish delicious. The team working here are so lovely. I especially love the way they sit with you at the table to talk you through the menu as well as help you with crab cracking. All the shellfish was fresh there was absolutely no need for any extra seasoning to add. No salt and pepper pots on the table �. My kind of place. Definitely coming back here.
The food here is outstanding. Hands down some of the best if not the best seafood I have ever eaten. The staff are brilliant and perfectly attentive, even when the place is full. Lovely little hidden gem in Falmouth!
Heard a lot about this place from work colleagues and finally tried it last night for my partners birthday....... I cannot fault it in anyway! Being local it was lovely to talk to the owner and get her ethos on food and how it is sold. The essence of good honest local food is retained so well here in this lovely setting. The staff are amazing and form such a critical part of what makes this place sooo special! We loved it so much we have made another two bookings and cannot wait to come back!!! So refreshing to have a wonderful dining experience at a very reasonable price!!! �

We were lucky to get a table without booking. Due to the reviews, we were more than happy to wait and come back for our table. Definitely, worth the wait!! The host was welcoming and made us comfortable. Introduced us to a concise menu that was more than satisfying. The food was cooked to perfection, beautifully balanced flavours paired with great wines. All hats off to the chef and front of house staff. Restaurants like The Wheelhouse are truly inspirational, proving ethical sorcing is not only possible but also affordable. We are looking forward to our visit back in December. Thank you for a tasty experience.

One of the top shellfish dinners I’ve ever had. Delicious fresh seafood at a very reasonable price. Make sure to book well in advance as it is very very popular - for good reason to. Nice homely feel to the restaurant and friendly service to top it all off.
Lovely food and great service. I visited here on a company away day and would definitely recommend it if you have a group looking for a social eating place. I hear its usually booked up well in advance, but not sure if this is because it’s so small or as it’s only open a few a days a week. Worth the wait though and I found it a great local restaurant.
Amazing, what a find, the best this year. If you like shellfish then this little restaurant is a must, small menu but everything they do is absolutely perfect. It is quirky, one of a kind and very special, you must book in advance as it is very small. Worth booking first before you book your accomodation!
One of my favorite places in Cornwall. All their food is amazing but I have to say their scallops are to die for. Each time I visit I leave happier. Thank you (pictures from my trip last year)

Amazing meal, the second time we've been and won't be the last. The staff had the best Covid precautions I've seen at any restaurant - or any shop for that matter. Whilst maintaining a really cozy and warm environment you'll struggle to find elsewhere.
The food was absolutely stunning, with a range of fresh oysters, prawns, muscle's, scallops, crabs and lobsters on offer. Can't recommend the muscles in the Thai sauce any higher and would be criminal to not finish up the sauce by dipping in the fresh bread of basket of fries.
The portions are great with muscles being served by the kilo or half and you definitely won't leave feeling hungry. To finish up an option of a chocolate and peanut butter dessert or a refreshing mango sorbet is sure to please anyone at the table.
An amazing meal with the only complaint being I wish I could get a table every night! Look forward to returning -
A few notes worth keeping in mind:
1. You need to book in advance... Our booking was about 2 months ahead of time (well worth the wait)
2. If you're not a lover of sea food, this isn't the restaurant for you.
Always love coming here, great atmosphere, friendly staff and fresh good quality food. The Thai sauce for the prawns and muscles is very very good! It's a lively place to eat and the way you order food means you can try a variety of things from the menu! Need to book well in advance though but worth it!
The best shellfish you will ever eat period. (Also the fries and excellent). The service is great, the staff are super attentive and always up for having a laugh. They only have what they catch that morning so if you want a lobster you should probably book early.
I have heard they do good pasties at lunch time but I haven't had a chance to try them.
Fantastic seafood served while Sat in an upturned boat!! Great value and delightfully quirky. Book well in advance. Don't visit Falmouth without going here!
