Great first time experience! The staff were all friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was great and the food was fantastic,
I was really surprised by the sheer quantity of the tapas, fantastic pricing for what you get, really can't fault it.
As for what I got to try the roast tatties were phenomenal, seriously some of the best I've ever had, the meat tacos were brilliant and the burger was fine, a bit tougher than I was expecting but still nice.
The food and service was good at this restaurant. However, the mocha was quite a let down. Their menu implied that their coffee selection would be extraordinary. But the mocha that I received had a lot of hot chocolate powder at the bottom of the cup. It was evident that the powder had been dumped in after the coffee was made and there was no attempt to mix it together.
Other than this mishap at the beginning of the meal, the food was delicious and the chicken wings were the highlight of our meal.
A great place for Tapas. This was my first experience of Tapas for about 15 years. We booked the table and had to change the time which the restaurant accommodated for us without any fuss. We arrived on time and were given the menus for Drinks and Food. The food was very varied and it was difficult to choose what to eat. Which is always a good sign. We managed to narrow it down. I would recommend 3 dishes. They are very reasonably priced and very reasonable in size. Absolutely delicious, every single one of them. A thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish. I literally can not fault any part of the service or food. There is parking in the local areas too.
Thank you for the Christies experience. 💫
It was my last night in Scotland and I'm glad I went here. Amazing service and stunning food. I had split 7 tapas between 2 people and it was the perfect size. The Mac and cheese might be the best I've ever had. So adorable. I recommend making a reservation because it's a cute venue but can fill up fast. Sam and Graham were the best! I was even introduced to a Scottish Mule, and I'm never turning back! Only struggle was parking, but that's not their fault, just plan ahead!
It's always very busy, but we took a chance and managed to get a table!
The staff were really welcoming and very nice, even though it was a boiling hot day and they must have been melting, they were so nice, down to earth and professional.
The food....the food was fantastic! Thee best haggis and whisky sauce, over real hand cut chips btw, was the best I've ever had. The mac and cheese was great, Scottish cheese, of course.
But it was the Scottish doner kebab that was the star of the show! A surprise for me as I adored pork and the pulled pork one was amazing, but the doner one was spectacular.
If you go Monday to Thursday, they do 3 dishes for £12, we were there on a Saturday afternoon and its individual dish prices.
About £38.00 including drinks for all in the photos.
I regret nothing 😍♥️😍
Fabulous food. We had four items each which we couldn't finish, so choose carefully! Service great. Only very minor criticism is that it's very bright in there and they might want to ease the lighting for a nicer ambience. But it's a really good place.
All the tapas dishes we tried were lovely. The Mac & cheese in particular was absolutely divine!
Service could have been a bit better however. We ordered 3 roasts and they forgot to add Clapshot in all of them. We had to ask for it twice and it came when we had almost finished our meal. That was a disappointing end to an otherwise delicious meal.
A real treat with a modern dining experience with a traditional Scottish flavour.
The decor was beautiful, especially the original art works.
Have visited on a couple of occasions and all diners have enjoyed their meals. This is a Scottish tapas style restaurant although it does serve larger main dishes on the main menu, including burgers for meat lovers as well as a quinoaburger for those who are vegan/veggie.
I particularly enjoyed the seabass on one visit and the scallops were lovely as well.
The alternative menu is a 3 for £12 menu available Mon-Thu all day. 3 tapas size dishes for £12 is a great deal and ideal for groups who want to share.
I particularly enjoyed the crab from this menu but I really liked the chips with haggis and pepper gravy.
My son loved the Irn Bru sticky wings and my daughter enjoyed the soogy bottom steak pie.
Puddings are nice. I really like the ginger and pear crumble cake but most love the sticky toffee pudding. The sauce tastes like liquid tablet!!! Have tried the creme brulee in the past andvthe top had a good crack to it before getting through to the custard. Just as it should be.
Worth noting that 50p donation goes to Strathcarron hospicevwith every portion of haggis bon bons purchased. A tasty dish and a nice gesture.
Staff are attentive and helpful.
Atmosphere is good with music playing quietly enough to hear but not so loud that it makes conversation difficult.
If I could make one change to the menu it would be to add a couple of additional Scottish options to the menu to make the tapas more Scottish. Maybe a salmon dish and definitely a Stornoway black pudding dish or maybe just put a wee bit along with the scallops or other dish already on the menu.
I will give five stars for food, presentation, drinks and service. Extra points for the actual tapas you can share - brilliant idea especially that there are also large round tables with a spinning bit in the middle available if you're going out with family and friends. Staff is really friendly and creates a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. Decor is quite pleasant and simple with good colour choices. I was under the impression that the crockery, glassware and such were good quality and thoughtfully selected.
