My wife and I love this pub. If we have any visitors this is where we take them.
Amazing place. The staff are the best at all times. The manager is always going above and beyond with every customer. Theme nights once a month, cheap drinks and Amazing banter from everyone. I rarely have such a great experience in small pubs but this is the best pub I've ever been in
Stopped off on a sunny Saturday afternoon for some food. Lovely building with a great setting on the canal. Beer garden was busy. Inside the bar area was busy but not too noisy. Had a short wait before being told just to go through to restaurant which was situated in a conservatory, which was lovely. Drinks orders taken quickly and arrived promptly. Food choice was good for a pub with the additional choice of pizzas. Food arrived quick and was hot. Chips were good, very small piece of pastry however the beef was plentiful and delicious, veg was out a packet. Fish was nice but also possibly frozen as was quite watery but still food was very good for pub grub. Staff were polite, professional and friendly. Atmosphere was good.
Got there as staff arriving but that didn't stop them serving us. Lovely lady. Sat outside as lovely sunny day. They have open and closed in seating outside. Dogs only allowed on leash outside but not a problem. Would say inside quite dark but some may prefer to get out of the sun. Loads of parking and nice canal walk just outside taking you to the Falkirk Wheel.
Best pub in town, staff are always super friendly and chatty and prices are great! Lots of entertainment and events planned which is fun!
Great outdoor space for eating and drinking. Circa 15 booths outside with covers. A huge gazebo and appox 10 uncovered tables. Staff were friendly and super attentive. We had starters and main meals. Both were excellent, piping hot and tasty. Very big portions. Wish we'd been here during the hotter weather. All you people visiting the Falkirk Wheel make the five minute walk to here, you won't be disappointed. NB it shuts at 2000. We'll definitely be back.
Best pub in the town, staff are super friendly and welcoming. Always different events put on super fun pub!

Great bunch of locals
Lunch at Auntie Katie’s in The Union Inn 😋 Amazing pub favourites, and the Thai vegan curry was absolute perfection 👍 — feeling joyful at Auntie Katies. Cosy atmosphere and friendly staff 😊 highly recommend!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lovely place to pop in and have a drink. Friendly staff. Most enjoyable
Great food and friendly atmosphere! The fish and chips were great! Probably the best tartar sauce I've had in my life!
Great beer garden walking from Cumbernauld to the kelpies with my sun on a roasting day for a couple off cold beers
Ia lovely me and mate stayed above in 1 of rooms a long time ago I'm only commenting cus we may be up in Falkirk working gain we got mate rates for food and really got on with locals including the pony that was tethered outside always felt we was thought of as a local even though we was from St Helens went back and stayed there loads of times x
What a welcoming pub. Can't provide food but recommended good local take away, Lucky Ho. When we went to pub plates and cutlery waiting as well as a great bunch of locals. Thanks to Willy, staff and locals for sorting us. Should say they can't provide food as they are struggling to find a chef. Campervan overnight in the car park.
Fantastic bar service very welcoming definitely come here again thankyou for your hospitality
We stopped here for lunch on a Sunday in August with our dog and our 4 month old daughter. The staff were really welcoming and helpful and I love the decor in the beer garden - almost like a Budapest ruin bar. The menu is standard pub grub but decent quality and quick service. A lovely place to spend some time on a sunny afternoon.
Popped in here a few times now and always had a warm welcome from the staff. Nice place to have a wee seat outside in the sun (when it shines) and dog friendly too. Never eaten here although it looks good on the passing.
Good stopover for a motorhome. No electricity, water or waste disposal, so you won't want to stay long, but it was great (and free) for one night. No chef at the moment, so it was over the road to the chippie, but we brought the food into the bar, and they happily brought us cutlery and condiments (for the price of a couple of drinks, of course)!
Discovered this place whilst cycling from Loch Lomond to Falkirk. Steak pie mash potatoes and veg was amazing. The pastry was well made. It did not fall apart. The meat wasn't too tough. It more or less melted in my mouth. My Guinness was lovely and cold. The sticky toffee was beautifully done too. For less than fifteen quid I have no complaints only compliments. The staff were also friendly and attentive. I was nice chatting to Mick Dundee, a regular from the nearby town.
