This was our first visit to this restaurant following it being taken over by new owners. The refurbishment has been carried out to a very high standard and is now bright, well designed and a pleasure to dine in. The outside has also been given a makeover with a glass surrounded seating area and an area echoing the nautical theme with flower filled boats, sails and rope work. Very pleasing on the eye. We were welcomed by a friendly waiter who ensured that we had a table in our chosen area, despite the restaurant being busy. The menu was extensive and there was a car very available. My only concern was that there were few vegetarian dishes on the menu but the waiter explain that some dishes could be altered to be vegetarian. We are non meat eaters but do eat fish, so ordered the smoked finnan haddock, served on a bed of mashed potato, covered in cheese sauce with grilled mature cheddar on top. An excellent meal and so filling that we could not manage a dessert. Perhaps next time as the dessert menu looked enticing. Overall we were impressed by staff, service, quality of food and surroundings. I wonder if it would be possible to have a car very option that was vegetarian or fish, as it looked amazing?
We were here last nite with a bunch of friends. Can highly recommend the Boardwalk. From start to finish the staff can't do enough for you and the meals were lovely good portions and a gluten free menu too. Will be back
Beautiful surroundings and place. Amazing food served by the hilarious Mark who made our experience even better! Will definitely be back and would definitely recommend!
It was a spur of the moment decision to go there but I 'll be back!Bright attractive decor well set table and comprehensive menu.The staff are using technology to place orders so conse quently both our drinks and meal arrived promptly.Tge three of us chose differently and all really enjoyed our meal.Well done BOARDWALK�
After an anticipated wait to try out The Boardwalk, I was eventually able to dine here for lunch with my daughters. What a beautiful restaurant it is with a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. We were pleasantly greeted at the door and escorted to table 1 by the window, with our drinks orders taken and exchanged pleasantries, my 3 yr old was given her little crayons and worksheet to keep her amused. Our server Danelle was just so lovely, even amending the kids menu for my extremely fussy toddler, making the whole experience a whole lot nicer. Both my adult daughter and i had 3 courses and sides, all of which was fantastically presented, cooked perfectly and of course tasted as great as it looked.
Safe to to say we will return.
Went here for lunch for my mums birthday abso amazing place... food decor to die for .. its a bit far out for me but will defo b going again soon x

Welcome fantastic, ambience fantastic, service fantastic and the food was really lovely. We were a family of 7, the staff were great
Overall a great experience and with the Falkirk Wheel just a 5 minute walk away a wonderful time was had by all including the bill payer ��
Fantastic service, staff very friendly and food excellent. The decor is gorgeous. Went for dinner and there is a nice seating area inside and out where you can have a wee blether. We didn’t feel rushed. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back.

To be honest I was a little sceptical about coming to the restaurant as we heard so much mixed reviews with more to the "don't bother" than "you'll love it". However, I'm a great believer that until I've been and experienced something myself then it's up to me to make up my own mind. From walking into the restaurant the ambience and decor was 10/10. We were greated with a smile and offered a table that was suitable for our double buggy which was very thoughtful not just for us but also the surrounding guests. The drinks orders were received in prompt style as was the food even with a packed restaurant today for Father's Day. Both starter and main course plates were hot (bugbear of mines when hot food is served on cold plates!!) as was the food hot and presentation was lovely too. Clearly the management of the staff about who does what and when is working to the naked eye. I appreciate this doesn't always go to plan behind the scenes but to us as the guest it was seamless. So thank you to the Manager and staff for making today's Father's Day an experience in your restaurant a reason to return and to add another recommendation for others to come try this restaurant out for themselves. In addition, for been so polite and courteous to our little boy, making him comfortable and getting him crayons to colour in his menu/activity sheet. He loved the Ice-cream Penguin who now has a name... Walter �

I was ‘out and about’ with my mum and my one year old daughter this afternoon and decided to dine out. When my mum suggested trying the Boardwalk I was unsure. But I am now so glad she talked me into it. From the minute we arrived everything was perfect. The exterior and interior decoration was lovely - light, clean and spacious.
The atmosphere was relaxed and although it was very busy for a Tuesday night, it wasn’t too noisy. (Well - Apart from my daughter causing mayhem).
The staff were attentive and friendly. They even suggested we order my daughters dinner first to give it time to cool and to keep her happy while we were still browsing the extensive menu.
There is something on the menu to suit all tastes. I loved the variety and did take some time to decide what I wanted!
I commented to my mum that if the food tasted as good as it read on the menu then I would be happy.... well - it did! The Mexican crepe was amazing !
Of course I had to have a dessert!
Overall, I am so happy we visited Boardwalk tonight. The full experience was fantastic. It can be stressful dining out with an active, sassy and impatient one year old but we were all so relaxed and happy. I would certainly recommend The Boardwalk to anyone.
Had a fab meal here last nite..we got the lentil.soup to start which was lovely and both myself and my husband got the steaks on a sizzling plater gorgeous! and for dessert we got "very sticky toffee pudding"very tasty!..place is lovely..and busy.. decor is gorgeous..staff were realy friendly ..will defo be bk again.
Amazing service and delicious food! A wide selection of food and drink to choose from and the portions are very generous. The staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I’m in a wheelchair and they subtly offered extra help without making me feel awkward. We will definitely be back x
It would be five stars, but the bike rack is silly, and insecure as you can't lock your frame to it, and we had to lock our bikes to a street sign. The food was top notch, with huge portions, great gluten free options, a really nice atmosphere, and great staff.
I had a wonderful experience at the boardwalk with my partner. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was amazing, everything was cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. The boardwalk is a great place to go for a special occasion or a treat. I highly recommend it and I will definitely come back again.
Turned up on the off-chance, forgetting it was Father’s Day. They couldn’t have been more accommodating. Very friendly staff, delicious food. Highly recommended!
So the food is always fantastic and service speedy but it's got one thing that always kills it for me, it's so hot in the right hand side of the restaurant that both times Ivs dined here, I have left instead of staying for a few extra drinks. Overall, I can't ask for better food or a well mixed menu.

A very big place, but very well set out. Great service and lovely food. Everything looking clean and sparkling and obviously very popular as it was very full. Really enjoyed this venue. Place to sit and have just coffee and chat, sit outside if a good day or stay inside and enjoy the décor.

A good menu selection, polite and efficient service. There's plenty of room, well laid out and plenty of parking. The bar has an excellent selection of whisky.
Great venue. Spaciously warm with a friendly atmosphere. Staff and service were perfect, and the food was delicious.

Quick service with our food, piping hot & well presented tasty lasagna, fries were excellent & proper garlic bread & steak burger with delicious blue cheese as an extra topping complemented the burger well. Beautiful interior, spacious tasteful decor & very airy feeling. Outside seated decking was a bonus on a sunny day like today. Topped off with wonderful sweets to finish off a really lovely first time visit. Great parking facilities too. Will be back
A lovely meal. Chicken with haggis, fish & chips and crepe with bacon fries. Fresh tasty and well presented. Sticky toffee pudding and hot chocolate fudge cake could have been warmer but yadted nice as didn't get chocolate bomb. The staff and setting was just perfect.
We came here as a last meal on Thursday before going home (down south) and i must say the food and service was excellent. Definitely will come back here when we are back in Scotland.

Nice restaurant, good service and friendly staff. Been quite a few times for evening meals, Sunday carvery, coffee and cake etc. Each visit has been great. There is both a restaurant and 'informal' seating area for snacks. Outdoor seating is available and it can be a sun trap when the weather is nice. Close to the Falkirk Wheel which is good too. Plenty of parking. Tasty food. Will return.
The food was great, staff was polite but a little erratic. But I have to complement the waiter who brought my coffee. I asked for some honey. He went into the back and brought some out.
