The view from the restaurant is very beautiful. The staff are nice and the food comes our quick. We had fish and chips and a pasta dish. The fish and chips is very tasty and not like other places in Exmouth. The batter is lightly coated the fish and is very crunchy in every bit. The minted peas are a great pairing with the fish as they used fresh mint and not mint sauce. Not too minty at all! The pasta is delicious! The tomato sauce paired beautifully with the seafood. No need for extra seasoning.
Had a really nice team lunch and lovely food which really looked good and lovely choice. The pork belly and gravy (which was stunning) and amazing truffle fries (must try) and the desserts were both stunning and awesome (3 different ones were chosen. 12.5% service charge which was explained and service was nice and a good vibe there. Overall decent quality but on the high side of cost but would return again. Nice job done.
Brought the family here whilst on holiday, and very glad we did. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming, and the food was the best we'd had in ages. We sat in the window on the 1st floor and whiled away two very enjoyable hours. Highly recommended!
Mickey's Beach Bar & Restaurant offers a delightful experience with its great service and inviting atmosphere. From the moment I stepped in, the staff greeted me warmly and the cozy beachside setting added to the overall charm, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the view the only problem I have with this place is that some of the prices the food are a bit too pricey and the menu on Google maps said that the pizza was £9 but it was £16 but honestly, I didn't care about the price too much but if it wasn't for it I would give this 5 stars 🙂
Visited here last night with elderly relatives including disabled father on a mobility scooter. My goodness me if only all restaurant staff were as kind, caring and hospitable as the team here! Nothing was too much trouble, we felt utterly looked after from start to finish. Food was awesome, atmosphere and view were amazing. There is a lift to enable wheelchair users to access the upper floor and experience the panoramic views. Thank you so much to the team, we would definitely recommend Mickeys to anyone but especially to those with disabilities, a very enjoyable evening had by all. We will be back!
We were large party of 21 on a Saturday night. We sat upstairs with a glorious view over the estuary. The salmon was wonderfully presented and had great taste. The burger was one of the best I've had in a long time. The steaks looked amazing and my co diners remarked how perfectly they were cooked. Our waiter was a very friendly chap and the service was efficient and smooth. Highly recommended and I look forward to a revisit in the future !
The staff are all incredibly friendly and accommodating. Can’t fault the whole experience.. the view, the food, the people are exceptional :) I only gave 4 stars for drinks.. the wine we had was amazing, there’s just a little lack of soft drinks for children and not much variety on ciders etc! But the quality of what you have is great.. maybe it’s quality over quantity! Thank you 😊
We had an absolutely wonderful time last night! The service was first class and the food exceptionally good! The atmosphere was friendly and lively, but not overly so. Our waitress - I’m sorry, I’m annoyed I didn’t ask her name so I can’t tell you - was just fantastic, tolerant of our requests and very attentive and helpful when we had questions to help us make choices. She was stand out great 👍 Everyone had a great time and we were so happy we chose to come to Mickey’s. Thanks again and please pass on our grateful thanks to the whole team last night! Great job all round. 👏
Heard mixed reactions but thought we'd decide for ourselves.
Lovely big bright surroundings. Clean toilet facilities.
Food was delicious, presented nicely and hot.
Staff were all polite friendly courteous.
Didn't feel rushed.
Had lunch here on Thursday 17/8/23 liked it so much came back Friday 18/8/23 for late lunch ....absolutely lovely.
This will be our go to place now when we want lunch/dinner.
We happened upon the place by chance as we are not locals. I wanted to have an outstanding holiday standout meal and I definitely got it here! The views, the service and and the flavours were all incredible. Honestly the mussels were so huge, fresh and full of flavour, some of the best I’ve had by far! Every dish was the tastiest version you can imagine, the chef smashed it. Lovely, friendly staff too! I had to leave 5 stars right away.
Staff warm and friendly. Great ambience.
Fab view from the deck of the sunset.
Wide variety of food options. All dishes have a list of possible allergens/vegetarian options.
Quite expensive.
We both had fish and chips, and a cocktail. Meal was good, though felt the fish piece was a little small.
Gets very busy, but watch out for the booking clause of £75 per person if you cancel within 24hrs of going there to eat.
Toilets need regular checking as more toilet paper required!
The staff are lovely and welcoming as well as accommodating. Being regulars it’s always nice to also catch up with the staff. We tend to dine upstairs and even in the ‘fancy’ restaurant I don’t feel as though I have to keep the children silent. However , the food is good but not amazing which is slightly disappointing when being an Michael Caines restaurant however everything else + the view makes it worth it
Fantastic food and drink all topped off with fresh efficient service especially from Karolina but the entire team we meet along our dining experience were great! Yes its expensive even when compared to Birmingham and London but you are paying for the location and the ambience. Chilled and relax but with a fancy vibe! We’d be back for sure!
