never had a bad meal here, the food is good and is good value for money. Food is always hot and the staff work hard to please. It is a local pub so expect people to be drinking and not just dining but the two do not conflict. We have had a private party here and the function room at the back is great for just this and the staff were attentive but not intrusive. i like this pub a lot and would recommend it to anyone. If you are not a regular and you are just popping in, you wont feel as if you are intruding. I dont smoke and all the smokers standing around the front entrance especially in inclement weather could be off putting as you have to "run the gauntlet" to get in but that aside, it is a great pub with a friendly atmosphere.
Went there today for lunch. Great atmosphere with the local's and friendly bar staff. The food was great and filling. Top notch. Will definitely recommend..
I love this place! Not only now but I have loved The Country House for many years. I used to come here for pub meals with my gran as far back as 1988. With the current owners it is a friendly thriving community pub just as it was back then. Nowadays I work on Sundays and a visit here for food and drink has became my after work Sunday treat!

Great food, fine selection of ales, very friendly, lots of events. This pub has it all. We moved to Exmouth from London earlier this year and the atmosphere in the Country House Inn is very like the East End pubs were many years ago. So glad it is now my local.

I went to the Country House with my brother-in-law, who lives in Exmouth. I visited my sister & her husband for the Whitsun weekend.
With the glorious weather, we were able to sit outside in the garden.
We enjoyed the ales and also had some crisps

Nice village pub. Only went in for a cup of tea, but that wasn't a problem. Friendly service and locals. Much bigger inside ( and lovely garden space) than I realised. Will be interested to go back for food one day.
We attended a wedding here with our photo booth recently and as always staff were friendly and welcoming food and drink was great and lots of effort goes into making the Country House Inn presentable and welcoming.
After having a carvery and found that to be a very nice and great value for money! I returned with good friends,visiting to try the £10.50 chicken! And we were not disappointment! Great value for money good salad to complement the dish! Highly recommended good friendly staff and a great place to go for food in Exmouth 👍👍
Great setting & atmosphere & friendly. Whole rotisserie chicken for 2 with chips & endless mega salad bar (awesome selection) plus a bottle of wine £10:50 all inc, = £5:25 each? Unbelievable & unbeatable, thank you Country House Inn.

Very nice meal. Rotisserie chicken (you can see them cooking) and very succulent. Chips were very tasty and good choice of help-yourself salad.

This is one of the few real pubs that still operate in Exmouth and they provide a really good range of pub food at competitive prices , try the carvery and look at the fantastic salad selection that is available free with most meals. This is a real family pub and children and dogs are made welcome.
When it is warm there is an excellent and safe garden area to relax and enjoy your drink and meal and inside there is as area of pool tables where you can relax, enjoy your drink enjoy family time.
We have been going to the Country House for years and over the last few years it has undergone a make over which makes it even more welcoming but at the same time it has retained its character and warmth and is a pub worth visiting.
