The lovely staff at Bumble and Bee made my holiday a couple of weeks ago. I'd been searching for a cream tea only to find everywhere I went had run out, they wouldn't let me return to London without one & found a lovely but misshapen scone in the kitchen and fulfilled my cream tea needs. It was the best cream tea I've ever had, thank you so much
Popped in on a recommendation and was blown away!! Being new to the area, I've been experimenting with a lot of local places with poor service, way below average coffee, and flavour less food. Bumble and Bee was a delight to walk into from the friendly and helpful staff (thanks for the Bumble Bubble recommendation!), the food was delicious and quick, and you literally can't go past the cake cabinet with gluten and dairy free choices, some vegan, all decedent looking! THANK YOU Bumble and Bee for restoring my faith that people actually care about what they produce and we will be back very soon!!
Found this little gem of a cafe this morning and had the most amazing gluten free banana and Nutella loaf! Lovely cafe and lovely staff too!
Read good reviews online and decided to pay a visit for an early morning breakfast. Quiet location and wonderfully unassuming. Great breakfast menu and coffee. Would highly recommend the bubble & squeak!
When ever we come back to Exmouth this cafe is a must visit place a true plus side of the town. Fantastic staff, great food and coffee and a lovely location.

Lovely place, great food, so much yummy cake, well worth the 1.5 journey from North Devon we'll be back for sure x
As a bit of a connoisseur of the Devon cream tea, I can say it was lovely also very helpful and friendly staff, a pleasure to visit and will be a regular for our regular visits from Yorkshire
Had my 23rd birthday lunch here with 11 people. Couldn't recommend Bumble & Bee enough. Lovely food and lovely staff.
So delicious. Best cream tea I've had. Date and walnut scones are fantastic. My children also LOVED their scone. Highly recommend this tea room. 👍🏻
This is the jewel of the Exmouth crown that we look forward to returning to again and again.
The staff are all so friendly and take a particular interest in the children which is lovely.
The menu is full of classics, with a Bumble and Bee twist, as well as some specialities. The bubble and squeak, nachos with smoky beans and the French toast are particular favourites of ours.
The cakes are of such high quality and locally made.
If you care at all about the provenance of the food you eat and the love put into making and serving it, then go to Bumble and Bee.
We had the cream tea for two with lemon and blueberry scones, was absolutely scrumptious 😋
As a slightly frazzled mum by herself with two little boys, the staff couldn’t have been lovelier! It really does make a difference. Lovely coffee and hot chocolate and can’t wait to try more cakes. Big thumbs up from us!
Popped in for a cream tea (as recommended by a local). Absolutely lovely. The scones were so light and tasty! Couldn't fault it. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Exmouth! And very friendly staff too
Delicious food, excellent coffee We've been here a few times and Bumble and Bee doesn't disappoint.
Such an awesome little cafe with amazing cakes (and staff) !
Super friendly staff and scones to die for! Check this place out- you won't be disappointed!
Great stop for brunch, lunch or cake. Small so can be busy. Food was great.
Children's food came covered in coriander seeds which wasn't stated on the menu so we had to get a new one which came out quickly.
Had a lovely brunch and would recommend.
It wasn't that busy and we waited 25 mins for food.
I think some extra staff would be welcomed to speed up service and help clear tables quicker.
The sign outside said ‘Award Winning Devon Creamed Tea’ so we had to give it a try. It certainly didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere in the cafe was quite delightful. I really wanted to sit in the naughty corner but the spot was already occupied. The doggie water bowl at the front door had pawsecco on tap. They really look after their dogs in Devon.
Lovely little cafe tucked away in the Manor Gardens. Nice tranquil spot where you forgot your so close to the beach and to town. Great selection of breakfasts, really tasty and so beautifully presented. And of course, we had to try the scones - they didn't disappoint.
The food is fantastic and the location and style of the cafe are one of the best in Exmouth. This is what keeps me going back. The experience is consistently let down by the staff though. If that were better I’m sure I would go more often. They are not terrible but a small improvement in attitude would make a big difference. Customers are ignored until the staff member is actually ready to serve them and mostly they can only almost smile at that point. I ask for my scone to be warm and it has a flash in microwave so short it’s only warm on the outside. It’s rare to meet such staff attitude these days as everybody is concerned about their reviews. It would not take much for the b and b to be absolutely 5 star.
An experience at the Bumble and Tee in the summer was even worse. Empty cafe we were ignored for 15 minutes while the young lady finished washing up. No acknowledgment of the wait, no smile. There is something about either the staff employed, their training or their pay maybe? But they don’t come across as happy in any of the Bumbles. Business saved by it’s lovely food I would say.
Definitely on your must do list when in Devon. Superb fresh home made scones and cakes along with hot dishes with great tasting tea and coffee.
Staff are friendly and helpful and there is a park to one side of it for additional seating.
Get there early as they are busy and we arrived just after lunch and almost sold put of scones.
There is a hotel directly opposite where for a small charge you can pay at a kiosk for parking.
Absolutely beautiful little cafe, the food was beautiful. Would absolutely recommend.
It is very popular (not hard to see why!) so seating can be an issue if you want to sit inside. There is outside seating and the park if the weather permits.
Went here twice on my weeks holiday, the cream tea is lovely and well worth the money as they are large. The service was very prompt and friendly, alternative jams available if you don't like strawberry which was great 👍.
I will come back on my next holiday.
Visited a couple of times whilst on a holiday break in the area.
Breakfast was fresh and vibrant, service was top level showing in depth knowledge of ingredients in the food to service for gluten free requirements.
They have the best scones I've ever tasted in my life. It's worth going there just to try them.
We went for cream teas twice in a week and I went back a 3rd time to bring some scones back home with me. They are that good.
I preferred the classic ones, but they have a good variety of flavors if you are feeling more adventurous.
Other than that they have a nice assortment of other traditional cakes and a menu for light meals that looked yummy. Didn't try those, but people on tables around me seemed fairly happy with their options.
A fabulous little place to visit. The staff are awesome. The range of food may not be huge, but it is all freshly made in the cafe. The cakes are to die for and the range is great and ever changing. Debs even made a little care package of scones, cream and jam for my husband to have when he was stuck in the hospital.
Had the best curried cauliflower soup today,so thick and creamy and just the right amount of curry served with a tasty cheese scone. Lovely place, good atmosphere and the cakes look delicious!
Really lovely soup, beautifully presented. Good, friendly service.
The bench seats against the walls are a bit narrow.
Omg, just my absolute favourite cafe. Cute atmosphere, lovely homemade cakes and the cream teas are lush. Only thing that could be better - I wish there was WIFI so I could study here after work!
Visited with some friends recently and had the most delicious and beautifully presented avocado smash on sourdough - with some elegant flavours & edible flowers. Our friends had the bubble & squeak and the breakfast stack, which were equally delicious. Good portions, great coffee, lovely staff, decent price and a lovely setting in the park. Highly recommend.
Went in for lunch with a friend, ordered a BLT sandwich & a strawberry shake.
Simple presentation, but amazing taste, I was pleasantly surprised.
Staff were friendly and the wait for the food was acceptable considering it was all cooked fresh.
Very nice lunch, we will be back.
😊
This place is amazing. I went here for brunch, got a Nutella pancake with banana, it was layed out beautifully, and most importantly, tasted incredible. Atmosphere is good, dogs are allowed to stay in the outside seating on leads. To me, inside space is limited, didn't check however. Prices, however are fair, £6 for what I got. Overall would rate 600 out of 10.
This cozy little cafe has the most amazing brunch menu! We had the raved about homemade scones and some lattes too. The staff were friendly and the vibe was exactly what we were looking for on our first visit to Exmouth! So happy my husband found this place:)
Fantastic breakfasts, scones and cakes. All the staff were lovely too.
