Every aspect of visiting and eating at the River Exe Cafe was outstanding, the seafood I had some of the best I have tasted anywhere. The staff are so friendly, and know the food they are serving.

Our first visit despite being relatively local. The service was outstanding and the food delicious. Perhaps the best fish and chips I have ever enjoyed. Factor in the boat trip out and back and the setting and it all makes for an exceptional experience.
This is a must ! Food is wonderful and the staff are lovely. It’s a boat ride there and back which is part of the fun. Freddy the boatman was so sweet . We had a partially disabled man and he was brilliant with him. You have to book the cafe well in advance . Thank you for a wonderful evening
Its incredibly popular and deservedly so. Really unique experience with great food and service. Fish is landed from Starcross fishing boats directly to the restaurant.

- Wear warm clothing. It's in the estuary and the structure isn't insulated.
