Popped in here after a few long hours spent in Marsh Barton. Was looking forward to the carvery but we just missed it. It was very quiet as it was their in between time but food was still being served. We opted for 2 carvery baguettes and 2 red Thai curries. All were absolutely delicious. Service wa
Food was absolutely fantastic and very friendly service, we used the car park to stay the night after dinner (with authorisation from staff) and the setting was lovely. Would highly recommend this place and will definitely be back again!!
The setting was lovely and staff were ever so friendly. I had beef and gammon which was delicious and so many vegetables. I personally like my potatoes crispy and well done but they were not here. This is a case of preference for me though. They tasted healthy which for some I guess would be good I
Had lunch here today with 7 friends, meal was brilliant, great choices and as my friend is a small eater the child’s portion was offered for the ham, egg & chips which looked delicious. I had the pie of the day and it was cooked to order and tasted amazing. Will be back again and would recommend
Quite a large pub with plenty of seating, they have a indoor play area for small children and a bouncy castle in the garden when we were there. It looks like a good place to have a party as there's a wooden dance floor too. They had a carvery when we visited which was very tasty and good size portio
Having a really lovely visit at this beautiful old pub. It has beautiful stained glass windows scattered throughout and loads of intimate seating areas tucked away. Really beautiful place and a stunning carvery. A really nice selection of guest ales and whiskies as well as single serve wines. There
The food was really good here. Fresh hot and delicious. Good veggie options as well. The dessert I has was good too served with both pouring cream and clotted (on request).
Catered to our needs very well when it came to our 4 year old who wanted something not on the childrens menu (but I daren't pay for an adult size). They were more than happy to accommodate this request, which made for a happy start to the evening. The waitress was great, and food was delicious. Most
What a hidden Gem. Had a cracking dinner. The carvery was top notch. Way better than Toby carvery and other big chain carvery restaurants. Service was great. Excellent pub!!
Stopped here for a break before driving home. A lovely welcome. Good food choices, nicely cooked and hot. A couple of nice ciders on tap. Sat outside with a nice outlook over the fields - could hear the trains but unfortunately not see them
Anyone in the area looking for a vegan meal should definitely check out this place. A good selection of fantastic tasting vegan and vegetarian food. Super helpful and friendly staff, who even made us a special vegan sundae dessert. A lovely location with a large, pleasant garden. Can't recommend hig
Just had a beautiful meal and the staff were some of the best I have ever met. People who grumble about a fair price want something for nothing and forget how much everything costs now. Thank you for a pleasant evening.
Found this place by chance, so decided to pop in for some lunch. Food was absolutely fantastic, I had Thai red chicken curry, my wife had scampi and chips, and a friend we were with had chicken nuggets and onion rings. I did well as my wife doesn't eat many chips, so had most of hers, and several of
Great traditional carvery, very very impressed. You can even go back for seconds on the veg. I didn’t need to as it filler me up
The carvery is just delicious. Usual choices include beef, chicken, turkey or ham, as well as a vegetarian nut roast option. Meats can be served singularly or two combined. Help yourself to the variety of vegetables, Yorkshire pudding and the all essential gravy (veggie option available too) and enj
