The team at The Crown couldn't be more helpful. They've got a very well stocked and reasonably priced bar, the food was good and breakfast was very tasty. If I had to nitpick I'd say the room I stayed in (room 12) was a little tired but it was very good value and very comfy with plenty of space for me. It's in a great location for walking and exploring Exmoor. I'd definitely recommend The Crown.

We stayed for 3 nights in The old Laundry. It was Clean, tidy and had more than everything we needed in the kitchen for our stay. We ate in the pub and for breakfast and some dinners and the food was fantastic, especially the exmoor pie. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to visit this area and we for certain will be back!

We ate there oe evening in September, the sea bass with it's sauce and ratatouille was delicious. Personnel very pleasant, good service, quality/price correct. Very nice ambience we come back every year for a meal and it's always reliable.

Very nice hotel, bar, restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble for the very friendly staff. The rooms are lovely, and the food well prepared and presented. I've seen one or two questionable reviews, some people must have been staying in a different hotel or have an axe to grind. Plenty of room in Torquay, or some such place, if that's how they feel!

Excellent food both at the pub and the breakfast that was included (probably the best included breakfast I've ever had at a hotel), their staff, the fact they are dog-friendly, the location of the hotel, the facilities and the size of the room, the quietness and the living room with a nice fireplace were all outstanding. Only downside was probably the Wi-Fi coverage in our room and across the hotel was constantly dropping out (we were not much interested in being connected, but that's the only thing I could think of to make it a 10/10 for the "rooms" section. Personnel and owner were all super friendly, flexible and attentive to detail.

Stopped here for a drink after a lovely walk from the village. Very friendly staff who offered us overnight parking for our motorhome in their large car park. We were then able to have more drinks plus an evening meal which was lovely. Would recommend.

Wonderful Exmoor pie, and sticky toffee pudding, that is legendary at The Crown. Always consistently wonderful, and whenever we return to Exford, we always eat here. Great friendly service, cosy bar, what more could you want.

We had a very good night at the Crown. Super comfy bed. Loved the bar and real fire in the evening and the breakfast the next morning (avocado, smoked salmon, poached egg on toasted sourdough bread) was superb. Highly recommend.

Excellent relaxing hotel in the centre of a typical Exmoor village. Excellent food and beer especially the Exmoor gold. Service faultless even on Saturday night when there was 17 in our party. Highly recommend.

The breakfast was very scrumptious, and there was a healthy option also...additionally the rooms and beds were clean and very comfortable, and plenty of parking spaces. In the hotel pub, everything was so very affordable and so divine plus the local village ale was only £4.25 which is so very good . Recommended this place any day of the year 👌

Lovely, timeless classic. This is how family hotels should be. We loved our visit. The setting is beautiful and the hotel very friendly, with a few quiet spots for hanging out as well. There was a pretty garden and outdoor seating. Our room was very clean, the towels thick and fluffy and our room nice and quiet. Breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend the superfood with smoked salmon. We didn't dine in due to other commitments, but the dining room looked full which suggests that the food must be good.
