Excellent food most importantly!
Issue with ordering - as I called I was asked to hold, which wasn’t a problem but then I could hear the person take several orders from both walk-ins and the other phone line and I wasn’t spoken to.
I hung up and eventually got through again, this time with no delay. On arrival there was a difference in attitude between the two ladies - one happy, smiley and chatty with the younger one not looking like she overly wanted to be there!
Still, this didn’t affect the food which was ready in a decent time and tasted excellent. Would definitely go back, but would prefer maybe a happier welcome and more efficient ordering (you can tell which one of the two I had serve me!)
Food was hot, super tasty, portions generous, and reasonably priced. We had lemon chicken, crispy shredded beef, sweet and sour chicken balls, and chicken chow mein. Heartily recommend them all… so yummy, even for next day leftover lunch.
It seems like only dissatisfied people have reviewed recently so we weren’t sure about ordering from here but on Bank Holiday Monday there were limited options so we took a punt on this place and were not disappointed. Might even get from here in future instead of our previous regular. Counter staff were polite on the phone and in person, which is all they need to be, especially on a busy evening!
Practical info: they take card for payments over £12 and there’s plenty of short stay parking for collecting.
Simply the best Chinese food in Exeter and surrounding areas. Big portions, great value for money.
Great fresh prepared food. Full of taste. Always busy that means a lot.
I ordered a walk-in takeaway on a busy Saturday evening. It was very busy but the staff member was very helpful and apologetic that I had to wait.
I confirmed my order and she repeated it back to me to make sure I hadn’t missed anything.
I waited just over 20 minutes and went back inside to collect. There are some seats to wait on but as I had only parked outside, it was easier to return to my car. There is space outside for about 6 cars and some more on street parking is available round the corner.
My order was piping hot and exactly the quality I’d expect from here. We ordered crispy beef with carrots, Singapore chow mein, egg fried rice and vegetable spring rolls. We finished it all off (pigs I know!) and no complaints at all.
One of my favourite Chinese takeaways in Devon.
They do not accept card payments for orders under £12 and whilst this didn’t effect me, I can appreciate it would annoy some people.
Really well prepared dishes. Well worth the wait to get an order placed in, the phone was pretty busy on Saturday at 17 and it took me a couple of times to get trough but once you got a hold it is an excellent service. We ordered and it came to us within 60 minutes. The satey sauce is excellent and well spiced. I myself had the prawns with green pepper and black bean sauce as the main dish and it was the best I had in years.
Great Chinese and the curry sauce 👌 tastes like tikka which is amazing
Very lovely and reasonably priced Chinese food!.
Brilliant Chinese best in the area
But pricey compared to others
Its a good Chinese take-away. Closes at 21:00 so good for early take away, not the friendliest of people, but efficient and good food so forgivable, do brilliant fish and chips. Chili/salted chips are to die for, nom nom
Love the chips here! Crispy shredded chicken is really nice and you get large portions.
Slightly more expensive then some takeaways in Exeter but worth it for the size of the portions.
Would recommend.
I eat there regularly and the food is hot and tasty. I stick to what I can afford. The £9.50 menu is filling and cheap but offers bulk over taste I find. The service is above average. If they could change the background muzak now and then it would be nice. Deserves four stars..five would be over generous.
