The usual Costa quality.
Don't be fooled into thinking it is small as there are plenty of seats downstairs too. An excellent location for people watching as the masses gently stroll around the retail cathedral that is Exeter Princesshay.
This branch of Costa sprung up as part of the Princesshay shopping development and is situated in close proximity to the other restaurants in the centre. If you want a coffee and to grab a snack, rather than a full meal, this is a good option, although it always seems to be full during usual shopping hours. Cost is a chain, so this one is very similar to all the others - selling good coffee and the usual range of pre-packed panini and muffin type snacks, with efficiency and not much much personality. This branch could do with being larger, considering the busy location, as there is very little indoor seating. There are however some tables outside for sunny days, which afford a view of the top of the roof of the Cathedral!
It's a very small Costa so it always feels a bit crowded. There is a downstairs area, but I experience claustrophobia, so I can't enjoy my coffee down there. The staff don't have the laid-back air that I enjoy in most Costas.
I still like it, though
It has a kind of local vibe.
Just had a drink, but it was a great place to sit outside on a sunny day. Staff were very pleasant.
The coffee is good β and the service is polite and nice π. The place is quiet and not too crowdy.
I find Costa the best for a cappuccino in the big names on the high Street. This branch has good friendly staff and its a nice location to do people watching..keep up the good work π
Had our drinks within 10 minutes. 2 tasty hot chocolates, no problems. Enjoyed our cakes too. Staff were pleasant. Tables available midday. Xmas decorations looked pretty.
Wonderful costa as always, nice seating areas, delicious food and coffee. Toilets and seating available outside, inside and downstairs too.
Yummy!! Went there for a coffee break from shopping with my 8 year old and she got a golden huge chocolate coin and I had a cheeky Quality Street chocolate
Really good, friendly staff. A late visit about half hour before closing but we weren't rushed or made to feel unwelcome at all. Facilities were all clean & well presented. If I wasn't just in the area on holiday, I would definitely be a regular here.
Some of the staff could be a bit more polite. Paying for some of the most expensive coffee in Exeter. They do pay UK tax though unlike Starbucks. And I love the loyalty card!
As usual we just popped in for a Quick Coffee ββ. Which as always is very nice. The service was top notch one of the Young Ladies really helped me with my coffee sorry I can't put her name down I'm sorry to say.ππππ
Very nice place for a quick cuppa. We went in around lunch time and it was queued out the door, however it didn't seem to phase the staff. They were working like a well oiled machine, nobody was waiting for long. We only had drinks, but we were served quickly with very hot drinks, what more could you wish for. I would definately recommend a visit.
